what did you do?
- Hot take, no startup should have a โstrategyโ role. Actually many donโt โ only in a bull market do they fill theses to try and act like a big company. Every role at 0-1 should be by default strategic. You have to be an athlete to balance this with execution. Results is what youre measured on. Itโs a blend.
Strategy roles are for big companies and bloat. You donโt see many executors and operators in those roles unless they are close to retirement or checked out. Theory is rarely where you learn core employable skills. .
We had amazing strategy folks at Avara - in practice they were more Corp Dev - I donโt view them as strategy. They accomplished and executed great things. Tangible work.
- the orb app got a new feel. Its so sleek. apart from getting login issues, it seems a pretty good revamp.
- Reading about how dogwifhat went from 0 to $ 2 billion by TPan. It's very well written and rn understanding how the meme got popular due to composability.
