- Word of the day: incentivizing
- Thanks for the mint friends! Followed you all
- Iiiiits halving day, and also a couple days after I dropped my single, crashing down , on web2. I posted this content over there complete with original self-made music— but for the folks onchain, here’s a subtitle-free, monochrome version 😏
Ooh also, guess the cover!!
- My goal is to post the weekly recaps of what I created on my Twitch streams on here and maybe versions of that on other platforms. My compisability is trash and I’m really on that mysterious pensive artist thing so it’s a work in progress but yeah enjoy this peep. Produced by me during my 2 hr stream 3.28.24
- Huh!
- Wow so I'm late lol.
#11 tho let's get it
- Drop is at :25 . Lmk what y'all think!!
- Been working with Fadr for 3 hours and...
Let's just say I'm the wrong hands they've been talking about
- This is my very first AI work and I'm very excited for the type of art I'm going to be able to show you all from here on in. I believe it's only up from here and so whatever state this particular piece is in in the sensibilities of the listener, I invite you to see the broader significance of this! Thanks so much.
- Applying the competing “Developmental theory vs dependency theory” schools of thought from Economics, to the creative industry, shows how there’s 2 different ways of seeing artist success. 1 is “developed vs developing” & the other is “core vs periphery.” Many ppl conflate being at the center with being developed.
If you see an artist that’s been constantly coerced into the periphery & say “guess you’re just developing,” that shows a fundamental unappreciation of various growth models that exist. Some ppl are pressed into the margins while their gifts are sucked out and handed to the core.
And others may think they’ve developed more, but really they’re at the center, and been funneled resources at the expense of the periphery.
As the seats of power in the music industry change before our eyes, we’ll start to see a different story than we ever thought possible.
It’s already happening. After years of telling us that social media suppression is our fault for not doing enough, famous label execs & managers are now going “guess it’s [insert famous artist here] vs the algorithm.” Like, lol, welcome??
As the structure crumbles, now the periphery has the chance to show that, no, they were never “underdeveloped,” they were exploited. And the “developed” will see that they simply were once at the core.
Anyway, onward and upward!
- Here’s to stepping into your own power and becoming untouchable 🥂

We are excited to announce that @lenster.lens has integrated with @livepeer.lens for video transcoding and faster delivery. Livepeer is a decentralized video infrastructure that enables high-quality video processing and delivery at scale 🚀
With Livepeer, we can now offer our users a more reliable and efficient video transcoding solution and faster delivery to the viewers. This means your videos will load faster and play more smoothly, even with slower internet connections.
Also, we now have an enhanced video uploader where you can choose your desired thumbnail 🖼️ or upload your own 💃
We also want to give a special shoutout to @sasicodes.lens for his invaluable help with the integration 🙏
- Sometimes I feel that expecting the utmost thorough-ness in engaging/researching a topic is a weaponization and traumatization attempt.
I remember when Kevin Samuels was still alive and his misogy-minions would leverage his words as a greenlight to abuse Black women and queerfolk--when called out, the response was "well have you ACTUALLY LISTENED to him? You haven't even watched his content."
Guys, right before this man died, he was doing 3.5 hour live shows every other day. The gentlemen who got supply on the stuff of course could watch it all day, but the rest of us--we couldn't weigh in on the harm he was inciting if we hadn't sat through all of it? It was madness!!
All that is to say--skim the article. Read the first and last page of the book. Listen to the top tracks on the album-- and *leave halfway through the Twitter space*. It's okay not to digest entire pieces of work when there's so much out there to take in.
Thanks!!
- I did a live spin of my music at the house this weekend, and wanted to share a snippet of it with you!! Beats by me, mixes by me, etc. etc. etc. Please enjoy!
- In response to what @christina.lens posted regarding the pros of a community based, decentralized internet,
I wanted to mention a disclaimer that people may be interested to consider.
I feel that, especially in the age of the throttling and devaluing of Twitter, that without a public forum, it is a lot harder for people to temperature gauge the world at large, as well as the market at large.
Personally, I don't mind a "silo," or an "echo chamber," and I don't believe in beating everybody over the head with "dialogue," just to make them feel less safe to show up as themselves, so in that mind, safe spaces are definitely necessary,
However, big ad companies aren't the only ones who lose out on data to carry out their biddings: everyday people like you and me do, too. I can't analyze market trends or predict where the value hotspots are going to be when they've all disappeared into servers and protocols. Is it worth the price though? Wellp, that remains to be seen.
But all in all, we have one word: Bullish!!
