- AJ Washington is the founder of Phlote, the web3-oriented experimental record label, music platform, and media company of which I have become a core member over the past 6 months. - Ahmed Nihmale is the co-founder of Kyd Labs, a blockchain-integrated ticketing platform. Before starting Kyd, Ahmed spent most of his career in the ticketing and live events industries working for companies like Live Nation, Ticketmaster, and Vivid Seats. With the founding of KYD Labs, which stands for "Keep Your Distribution," Ahmed aims to address the existing challenges and inefficiencies within the ticketing industry. The company has two primary goals: first, to empower artists, promoters, and venues by increasing their revenue and solving industry problems, and second, to provide fans with a transparent ticket-buying experience that fosters stronger relationships between artists and their supporters. We recorded this live in Brooklyn during NFT.NYC and unfortunately, I didn’t have my full mic set up, so the audio isn’t perfect, but we still had a great conversation about all of the issues with the ticketing industry and all of the ways that blockchain can solve those issues. I hope you learn something new from today’s episode.

- Dadabots is the AI Music project of CJ Carr and Zack Zukowski. Quoting their own words from their website, Dadabots is a cross between a band, a hackathon team, and an ephemeral research lab. We're musicians seduced by math. We do the science, we engineer the software, we make the music. All in one project. Don't need nobody else. Except we do, because we're standing on the shoulders of giants, and because the whole point is to collaborate with more artists. And in the future, if musicians lose their jobs, we're a scapegoat. J.K. Please don't burn us to death. We'll fight for the right side of history.. We swear..."I had an amazing conversation with CJ about how Dadabots came to be and how they use technology to create music. Zack also jumped in for part of it and gave some great perspective on the project and the future of music creation. CJ came ultra prepared with tons of videos and diagrams and music to share which he showed while sharing his screen, so I highly request watching this episode if you can. Links to do so are in the description. These guys are really at the forefront of technology when it comes to music creation and this episode was insanely fun to record. I'm sure you'll learn something new, and hopefully you'll be excited by the potential that AI and machine learning has for music's future.

This episode was a live conversation with Ahmed Nimale, the co-founder of KYD Labs, a blockchain-integrated ticketing company that helps artists, promoters, and venues build stronger relationships with their fans. "Probably the first artist to release albums on Bandcamp that were entirely 100% synthesized from a neural net"
Super excited for this week's episode with Dadabots!!
Here is a quick intro to what Dadabots is all about.

- Oversaturation vs. Increased Creativity
Another great Yung Spielburg clip!
I think oversaturation vs. increased/democratized creativity is one of the most apparent tradeoffs of creative AI. There's no easy answer but Yung gave some good perspective
- AI Eliminating Creative Jobs
Trying my best to showcase different perspectives and points of view. Yung Spileburg gives some great points here on some of the negatives of creative AI, which I think often get glossed over too easily on this podcast. AI's pros and cons are very complex!

- Episode 21- Steph Guerrero TRAIER
Alright! Sorry for the delay this week, but Episode 21 with @stephguerrero.lens is ready for release later today!
Steph is a Latin Music Industry Vet with experience at UMG & Sony who is helping bridge the gap between web2 & web3 with projects like @telliesite, Legato, artist consultant/project management, and much more!
This episode was recorded live at SXSW at the @phlote.lens Airbnb! It took me a bit to edit the audio but I figured it out and am excited to share the episode tonight!
- Still working on editing this week’s episode with @stephguerrero.lens
I just recovered a lost audio file with way better quality so now I’m just syncing with the video and making some clips.
But in editing I’ve been listening, and Steph’s insights are incredible! So stay tuned!!
- Live recordings on the road are tough! This week’s episode with @stephguerrero.lens is really really good, but we recorded live at my Airbnb at SXSW and editing the audio to improve the quality ain’t easy. Release might be delayed but this episode was a really good one so stay tuned!
- Huge thanks to everyone who collected Episode 21 with @karmavioletta.lens
12 collects for 4 MATIC is SUPER ENCOURAGING for my first pay-to-collect release, and I'm excited to keep experimenting and partnering with my guests. All collectors of Episode 21 got exclusive access to a private DJ mix that @karmawav.lens and @violetta.lens recorded. I thought it was a fun way to monetize both the podcast and the "unused" art that is the recorded DJ set, which was just sitting on their computer.
There are still a few editions available between Riff and Lenstube. I've been bumping this mix all week! It's really great music to work to or pregame with or just vibe out listening to. Karma and Violetta, thank you guys again for coming on the podcast and sending the mix.
Anyway, here are the links to collect the remaining editions, and keep an eye out for announcement about Episode 22 with @stephguerrero.lens which will be out tomorrow!!

There's 7 more editions available to collect on Riff and 5 more on Lenstube. All collectors will receive a DM with the link to the private mix on Soundcloud. This mix can't be found anywhere else other than through collectors the podcast!
All proceeds are split 50/50 between me and KarmaVioletta. I'm hoping this can be a cool way for me to both monetize the collection of the podcast and help the creators and entrepreneurs I talk to make money from art or work that is otherwise just sitting there dormant. This mix was recorded during Art Basel '22 and Karma and Violetta said they just had it sitting on their computer and had no real plans for its release. I can really see this model translating to any other DJs or artists I have on the podcast who have music and art and work that is just sitting on a computer or hard drive.
Huge shoutout to the first 8 collectors of this episode. I'm excited to keep this going!

@karmawav.lens and @violetta.lens are artists, partners, world builders, and more. They are both independent musicians who make music together and individually. And they’ve been a core part of the broader web3 music scene for a while. Together, they started the wavWRLD community, a music community focused on creating intimate experiences for artists to connect with the most engaged fans. I met Karma and Violetta at Art Basel in Miami last year and they have since become good friends. This podcast was recorded in person at ETH Denver in March, my first podcast recorded in person and it was incredibly fun. We talked about their backgrounds in music and web three, their experiences with song camp and with music collaboration in general, what wwavWRLD is all about, their thoughts on how AI and other emerging technologies will affect music in the future, and so much more.
I hope you learn something new from today’s episode.
