- Is it just me or a lot of art/music on lens is straight up overpriced?
I would like to avoid pointing fingers at anyone but as creators we have to be mindful of this imo (that includes myself)
Ultimately the value of anything is in the eyes of a holder, I agree. That said it's equally important to take a step back and think if a photograph should be worth $ 5k. We need to stay in check and not get ahead of ourselves in this regard. Realising the fair value of of your work is crucial.
Maybe it's just me.
What are your thoughts?

Permissionless communities
Both are necessary and needed for lens to thrive and expand to the next level
- What farcaster managed to do better was it attracted the nerd eth crowd incuding Vitalik himself.
Lens currently seems to be mostly for art and music which are also the most heavily rewarded at the moment.
We need to expand into further domains.
Permissionless tipping will make this easier I think as ordinary people joining lens and sharing their thoughts, their daily life , their ideas will be able to curate a supportive follower base.

- I have been thinking the same.
We need to connect genuine collectors with creators. One man lifting everyone's weight is only good in short term.
That said bringing creators to the platform is easier than bringing collectors to the platform.
I think the endgame that social media apps on lens should aim for is to create an embedded marketplace. Something @lens/kaira is doing with their launchpad.
I see a future where LBPs , IDOs , NFT sales etc all happen on these social media.
Also
While creators can create collectables currently, the inability to tip an amount of choice fragments the community building to some extent imo.
If my capacity is to tip a dollar, I would still like to support my favourite artist even if I can't mint their 10k$ worth collectable.
Permissionless tipping will be the next big thing imo not just to posts but to comments as well.
Setting a mint price is one thing. Giving the ability to tip each other at will is another and imo latter has more opportunity and organic growth to create than the former

The problem with having just one cover picture across all lens apps is that they have all different formats
What looks good as a cover picture on @lens/hey @lens/kaira doesn't look good on @lens/orb
And orb in particular is different than all other apps
It's cover picture is designed for phones to be handheld.
