- Some ideas on how to add upfront value to your community when introducing a new NFT Drop 📜
My team at @HunnysNFT wanted to do something fun for Valentine's Day. We knew it would be a short term project.
It's a Delayed Reveal drop, where we're asking people to mint this week, and revealing the metadata on Feb. 14.
But how do we offer new value to our community along the way, without just asking for their money & capitalizing on a holiday?
**We found two ways** that worked for us, given that this project went from ideation to execution within about 5 days:
**1. Teach a free, live class on how to do exactly what we just launched**
We teach free classes about once a month on a variety of #Web3/tech topics. So before we announced what our NFT Drop was going to be, we were already putting up time & energy to putting this live class together. It's free to attend, they get recorded and stored at our website (https://hunnys.io/), and it's open for 100% of people, whether you're a Hunnys holder or not.
It was then pretty fun to get to the end of the class and say "Wanna see a real life example? Here's something from Hunnys you can grab right now for cheap, and you have until Feb. 13 to grab it - you'll get to see how it works!"
It was a neat way to add value to our audience up front, gain trust & credibility in our skillset, and hey, it feels a whole lot better than just asking for donations or tips at the end.
**2. Introduce new concepts to them that they maybe haven't seen before**
I finally had the chance to be able to use OnCyber for this drop. Being able to embed a website into a digital gallery, surrounded by images/videos/gifs/etc. is awesome. It explains who we are and makes the experience fun in ways that a website can't always do on its own.
By (attempting to) lead by example with our own presentation of ideas, we are able to inspire people in our community on what types of things are possible, or start new collaborations with them.
( You can check it here if you'd like: https://oncyber.io/hunnygrams )
Is it way more work to prepare these types of things alongside of the mint? DEFINITELY.
But is it worth it? DEFINITELY. You'll feel better about it in the long run, and your community will trust & value you more.
What other ideas do you think about with your own projects? Or from a collector/consumer standpoint, what examples do you have of added value from a brand/project you like?
(P.S. I'm sorry for my inconsistency in posting here, trying to get better 🙏)
- Replace Fear With Curiosity
I've just airdropped UCC Single Passes to everyone who bought my photos in December. I truly appreciate all of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏
This pass enables a one-time redemption for coffee I personally roast at home, shipped to you for free, available on my coffee club's site:
https://www.unbelievablecraftcoffee.com/
I'm hoping it works, if anyone has -any- technical issues please let me know! I'm experimenting in real-time here. Also there is absolutely no rush for redemption! I try new coffee all the time, I'm always adding and changing the available lineup. If supply runs out please be patient, I will restock. Feel free to reach out to me, especially if there's a coffee you'd like me to add to the site or even restock an old one you may have missed!
I realize not everyone likes coffee and not everyone is comfortable giving out their mailing address. There are no hard feelings if you don't order anything. You are more than welcome to trade it/sell it/burn it/give it away or even order coffee for other people. There are a lot of special and generous people here, there's no limit to the greatness we can build together.
Thank you ☕

- **Fun chatGPT prompts & tips to try.**
**Tool**: https://chat.openai.com/chat
**Access**: Free
**Purpose**: The purpose of this post is two-fold.
A: Sharing some fun prompts & tips to make chatGPT a more fulfilling experience.
B: Receiving *your* ideas as comments to make this a nice thread to share and refer back to for multiple people.
This is a VERY limited list for now, because if I tried to share everything that I've found fascinating so far, this post would never end. But hopefully some of these Prompts & Tips are concepts you haven't seen yet, or help you out as you are working with the tool.
Let's get started.
----------------------------------------------------------------
***Prompts for...***
**Musicians**
**1. Ask it to write a song, and ask for it to include specific instruments.**
"Write a new Billie Eilish song in C Minor. Include a guitar track for it with guitar tabs."
**2. Ask it for an exercise to practice on in order to get better at your instrument.**
"I'm a drummer. I am hoping to get better at coordination and limb independence in my playing. Can you provide me with a practice exercise that will help me exceed at that? Perhaps some type of polyrhythm that I can practice exclusively on the drums?"
**Games**
**1. 'Choose your own adventure' game. (Short)**
"Let's play a "Choose your own adventure" type of game. The game should continue until I explicitly say the following words: "End the game." The theme should mimic what it's like to be on the set of the TV show Seinfeld, making references to the main cast & objectives of the show. After each response of yours, I should be offered a number of choices to pick from. Based on the choice I make, the story of the game progresses, using branching logic."
**2. 'Custom, procedurally-generated RPG' game. (Long)**
**"**I want you to act like you are simulating a Multi-User Dungeon (MUD). Subsequent commands should be interpreted as being sent to the MUD. The MUD should allow me to navigate the world, interact with the world, observe the world, and interact with both NPCs and (simulated) player characters. I should be able to pick up objects, use objects, carry an inventory, and also say arbitrary things to any other players. You should simulate the occasional player character coming through, as though this was a person connected online. There should be a goal and a purpose to the MUD. The storyline of the MUD should be affected by my actions but can also progress on its own in between commands. I can also type “.” if I just want the simulated MUD to progress further without without any actions. The MUD should offer a list of commands that can be viewed via ‘help’. Before we begin, please just acknowledge you understand the request and then I will send one more message describing the environment for the MUD (the context, plot, character I am playing, etc.) After that, please respond by simulating the spawn-in event in the MUD for the player.**"**
*(This was not my own prompt - credit goes to https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/zfs8pq/chatgpt_prompt_to_play_a_custom_game/ )*
**Language/Lore**
**1. Create a brand new secret language.**
"Create a fictional language with a unique syntax and structure. Name the language. Explain the main grammatical rules behind it. Provide a few standard sentences that somebody speaking that language might use in their daily life. Then, show me how it translates to English."
**2. Building out the lore for the characters in your NFT collection.**
"I have built an NFT collection featuring a series of characters from an unknown origin. The characters vaguely resemble human beings, but they are not of planet Earth. Let's imagine the backstory of a meaningful character from that collection (perhaps somebody in a position of substantial power). Briefly describe their origin story, their purpose in life, their personality, and a famous quote of theirs, written in this new language."
----------------------------------------------------------------
**General tips to get more fulfillment out of chatGPT.**
**"ChatGPT gave me a long response, but it looks like it cut off at a given character limit. I wish I could see how it finished."**
Simply write the word "Continue", and submit it as your next prompt. It will continue where it left off.
**"ChatGPT gave me a list of really great ideas. I want to hear more about one specific concept it brought up."**
Ask it to "elaborate" on that specific concept! It's very conversational, and will drill down further. This is particularly helpful if you're looking to generate lore, or a blog post, or a Twitter thread.
**"I wish ChatGPT would save my chat history. It's annoying that every time a new session starts, we have to start from scratch."**
When you are ending a given session that you are enjoying, ask it to summarize your chat history to that moment in bullet points. It will give you a summary. Save that list of bullet points in a text doc. The next time you go to open up a session, copy + paste the list into chatGPT with a simple message like "Here are some things you should know about me & my work, as I'm going to make references to these concepts today in future messages."

`Dois Irmãos`
Since I was 10 I’ve always rooted for Brazil in the World Cup, even though I have zero natural connection to the country. I’ve always loved the way they dance through the game and through life. There’s also an alluring mystery surrounding the place. When I think of that side of the world I always envision someone like Bogie (Humphrey Bogart) saying something along the lines of “ya know a man can get lost down there and just…disappear” with a cigar hanging halfway from the side of his mouth.
In 2014 I decided to disappear during the World Cup, losing myself in Rio just to experience the energy during such a time. It was everything I had expected yet it still surprised me. The city was dead silent while their team played. Percussive pandemonium reverberated off the mountains and empty streets after scoring. The solidarity of a nation living and breathing by its team's actions is something I could never experience back home.
Sadly the Canary Squad lost in 2014 and they lost again yesterday, and I can’t help but feel some sort of brotherhood with the people down there. Perhaps it’s the music of life which connects us, like these two men with their guitar connecting with the two brothers across the water.

- ⭐Which AI tools *really* excite you?⭐\n\nWhen it comes to helpful tools for content creators/artists, it's been almost impossible to miss the rapid availability of #AI tools (Dall-E, Midjourney, ChatGPT, etc.).\n\nNone of them are more exciting to me than RunwayML.com, though. In addition to being a lightweight in-browser video editor, they now have 29 (!!!!!) different AI-powered creator tools, ranging from specialization in image creation, video augmentation, and even audio manipulation.\n\nThis past week, among a few others, they added 'Text-to-3D Texture', which for me was a first. \n\nWith platforms like @oncyber.lens out there, inviting creators to build 3D assets for their spaces, it seems like we are just moments away from creators being able to contribute to such ecosystems, without intimidating barriers like weeks/months of learning Blender.\n\nAnd yet I don't see this platform being talked about hardly anywhere!\n\nWhich platforms/tools are you most excited by? What content creation use cases are they solving (beyond simply being a novelty)?
- Today I'm excited to announce the release of React Native Lens UI Kit 🚀🌿
Get started building mobile apps with social features in as little as 2 lines of code 🤯
Check it out and give it a star here 🌟🌟🌟
https://github.com/lens-protocol/react-native-lens-ui-kit
Here's why we decided to build this.
UI kits have supercharged developer workflows now for years. Most UI kits have reusable components like buttons, tabs, list items, etc...
These components are great because the abstract away common design and functionality patterns and allow developer to focus on the features that will differentiate their app from everyone else.
When we think of almost every app in existence, there are actually only a few main design patterns that we see reused and rehashed in new and creative ways.
Most apps are list views that navigate to detail views, with a bunch of form elements and buttons mixed in.
What happens when we start seeing common functionality being abstracted at the API and infrastructure layer as well?
We should be able to componentize and abstract away the common design elements here as well!
With Lens Protocol, and really with most social media / social graph applications, we see the same elements.
A profile, a post, profile details, list views, etc...
Traditional apps though have only a single UI that is controlled and owned by the company. With Lens, the protocol encourages developers to build out their own ideas and experiences on top of it.
They don't have to worry about building the back end, they can instead focus on building out their web and mobile apps because all of the infrastructure is maintained for them - similar to serverless technology but instead applied to the entire back end.
This library componentizes and abstracts away these common elements – profiles, posts, comments, profile details, list views, etc... so developers can focus on building out their own differentiating features instead of reinventing the same exact design elements over and over.
In the near future, I want to make the components completely configurable as well so that they can be modified to suit more complex and custom design systems.
The project is still in alpha, so please provide any feedback you'd like so we can continue improvements into the beta and V1 launches.
- I finally made it to Lens! I have a lot of learning and onboarding to go through but I'm slowly getting there.
In the meantime, here's my introductory post. I recently celebrated a birthday. I've been the Community Manager for HunnysNFT since April. And on my birthday, I was surprised with this special piece of art - friends drawing different versions of my Rat Benetar PFP in their own artistic styles, with references to their connections to me, as a set of balloons on a birthday cake house.
It's one of my all time favorite moments of being in Web3, and serves as a regular reminder to myself that while the financial stability of operating in this space can come and go, it doesn't come close to the satisfaction of community, and doing things you love.
