- Good morning, everyone. This is Molens, and today, we are here to delve into the essence of our current endeavors in this quadritic #ethcc post.
At Molens, our primary objective revolves around enhancing the accessibility and user-friendliness of Lens and its onboarding process. To achieve this, we have taken a two-pronged approach. First and foremost, we are dedicated to the creation and development of @lensacademy.lens, a platform designed to streamline the learning experience and facilitate seamless adaptation to the Lens ecosystem. Secondly, we are actively engaged in the growth and progress of @lensvert.lens, which serves as a pivotal aspect of our efforts to improve the overall Lens user experience.
However, our ambition goes beyond just making Lens more accessible. We aspire to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Lens through a groundbreaking initiative - the establishment of a virtual 3D museum. This museum will serve as a unique and immersive space where individuals from all walks of life can explore and celebrate the essence of Lens.
In conclusion, Molens is committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the Lens world. Through our diverse projects, we aim to foster a thriving community and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the cultural significance of Lens.

Thank you to everyone who followed us on our journey to 1K followers. This is a major milestone that we were able to achieve very quickly. Along the way, we were able to complete a lot of great projects. Here's a quick rundown of everything we've built or started to build:
• Museum Of Lens: We delivered a demo of how this museum will evolve and hosted some cool events inside of it. For example, we hosted a treasure hunt in the Forest vibe that lasted a week. We have more stuff to release, including a cool party with a great Lens Creator.
• @lensvert.lens : We released and constantly upgraded our Telegram bot and website, and we are starting to work on a Discord bot as well.
• @lensacademy.lens : Together with Lenstructors, we created great tutorials for newcomers and started to form the ultimate wiki of Lens, called Lenspedia.
• @ticketsoffice.lens : We created a month's worth of tickets that grant holders access and created a great community on Telegram. What's next? We're working with Molens and its sub-projects to collaborate with some Lens projects and apps to bring more exposure to Molens and utilities to holders.
To celebrate this journey we want to giveaway some stuff **to enter simply Like Mirror and comment something Molens related** like how we can improve or what we can create here is the list of what we want to giveaway:
• 2x @ticketsoffice.lens tickets
• 2x @stani.lens creators token (if you dont know what a creator token is yet head out to @lensacademy.lens as we explained it there)

• How to use lens tips and answers by LensAcademy call (0.5h-1h) (For people new to lens or confused by lens as we cant explain something somone already knows 😅so if you want to be raffled for this use #LearnWithMolens in your comment)

- **The illusion of numbers by @danisnearby.lens and @luduvigo.lens**
Stop obsessing over the numbers on your social media account! They are just an abstraction of the impact you have on the community. Faking them means you don't care about who sees your content but just want to please yourself. Stats reflect how good your content is, so if you fake them, you won't get feedback on what you should change or improve. Sure, having a high number of followers might make your account look more legit, but it's a cheap trick. Instead, let's work towards creating meaningful conversations about the future. As early adopters and futurists, we should be focusing on building diverse communities where we can disagree and challenge each other. Don't fall into the trap of valuing fake numbers over real engagement and follow the below tips to take your account to next level

- **`104 - Escher High on Mushrooms`**
Spherical perspective, Escher, and art contest
14/04/2023, Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪
Today we have a special post dear reader: this is both my daily post and my submission for the "ArtHack - Redefining Iconic Artworks For The Digital Age", the first online exhibition of Art From Future on the @lensprotocol in partnership with @molens.lens . Exhibition curated by @jessyjeanne.lens & @arminhoori.lens
**Statement**
Escher High on Mushrooms (EHM) appropriates the famous lithography "Hand with Reflecting Sphere" (1935) by M. C. Escher ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_with_Reflecting_Sphere ). In the original artwork, Escher uses a spherical reflection to show himself and the inside of his room. EHM imitates the same pose but instead of reflecting the outside physical world in a pictographic way, it reflects an inner, dreamy, whimsical world. The artwork in the sphere is a spherical perspective called “Elizabete: Hat, Fruit or Flute” and it can be navigated 360 degrees at: https://www.lufo.art/VT-virtual-tour/elizabete-hat-fruite-or-flute.html .
EHM intends to be a sarcastic joke: creativity does not rely neither on substances nor in alcohol, but on both the outside and the inside research about who we are.
**Technique**
The spherical perspective has been handmade first with pencil, then outlined with ink and finally painted with watercolours. The collage was made on Photoshop using a photography made with my mobile phone and the background from the original artwork repeated as a pattern and digitally coloured.
**Bio**
Lufo is an Argentinian artist, architect, building engineer, and PhD in Design and Innovation. He is currently pursuing a second PhD in Digital Media Arts. His career fuses academic research, design, architecture, mathematics, computer sciences, visual and digital arts. In the academical field, he investigates advanced techniques of representation, immersive drawings and their VR navigation. In the artistic field, he holds exhibitions featuring a wide collection of artworks, live drawing performances and interactive presentations using body tracking. He is also active in the blockchain community and daily posts on Lens. More info at https://www.lufo.art/about

.
But tell me dear reader,
What do you think about EHM?
Do you know the difference between a spherical perspective and the spherical reflection of Escher?
#LMCC: As today's post is part of the contest, it won't be possible to collect, but you can like, mirror and comment as much as you like 🥰🥰

- @youfolio.lens Explained by @danisnearby.lens
Tired of the same old ways of collecting? Youfolio.lens by Lensport.lens is the perfect solution for you! It's an innovative way to add value to your collection of posts and enhance your social media experience.
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Sign Up
Signing up for Youfolio.io is a breeze! All you need is a handle and wallet to connect to the website, just like any other Lens app. Once you've signed up, you'll be ready to start browsing the extensive collection of creators and their "Creator Tokens."
Step 2: Token Wrapping
Browse through the "Tokens" of creators and find a post that you want to wrap. You can use the "Show Only My Items" feature to display only the items you own. If you don't own any posts that qualify for collector tokens (the first NFT minted from a post), you can try collecting one or buying it instead.
Step 3: Make an Offer
With a collectional offer, you can make an offer on any post. However, it's best to find one you like to avoid disappointment. So take your time and browse through the collections until you find the perfect post.
Step 4: Wrap Your NFTs
Once you've added the post to your collection, it's time to wrap your NFTs. Wrapping your NFTs is easy. Simply click the "Wrap" button, confirm two transactions allowing NFT spend and sending the NFT, and your post will be sent to a Youfolio contract. You will then receive a wrapped NFT that you can sell and get voting power in the DAO.
Step 5: Join the Creators DAO
The Creators DAOs are hosted on top of tally.xyz and are used to make decisions about the Youfolio DAO. By joining the Creators DAO, you can shape the future of the Youfolio <creatorname> DAO and influence how it grows and evolves.
In summary, Youfolio.lens is a new way to understand post collection that allows you to add value to your collection and get more out of your social media experience.

Art inspirated by : Blood Red Slots by Gerhard Richter
Context : the art is just a red canvas and was sold for 1M $
Explanation : My art is called "The Exposed Blood" and is the color that blood turnes into after beeing exposed to air
About my work:
Did you know that it takes 10 minutes for blood to change its collor to red?
10 minutes is also how long it takes for some people to make a million dollars through corruption and money laundering in the art industry. Take, for example, the controversial sale of Gerhard Richter's painting, "Blood Red Slots," which fetched a staggering null million. While the painting itself is undoubtedly a masterpiece, questions have been raised about the legitimacy of the sale and the true identity of the buyer.
It's no secret that the art world has long been a haven for illicit financial activity. From the sale of stolen art to the use of artworks to launder money, there are plenty of ways for unscrupulous individuals to profit from the industry. In the case of "Blood Red Slots," some experts have speculated that the painting's sale was a cover for an illegal money transfer.
Despite these concerns, the art market continues to thrive, with works by famous artists like Richter commanding high prices at auction. But as the saying goes, "money talks," and it's clear that some buyers are willing to pay whatever it takes to acquire a piece of art, regardless of its provenance or the legality of the transaction.
In the end, the sale of "Blood Red Slots" is just one example of the murky world of art dealing, where big money and shady deals often go hand in hand. It remains to be seen whether the industry can clean up its act and root out corruption, but for now, it seems that the allure of big profits will continue to draw both legitimate and illegitimate players into the game.
About me:
My name is Dan i am a Tree Druid and i am an active lens builder creating on top of @molens.lens as the excibition is taking place in Molens i thought it would be not right to not have molens representation in this Lens event so here i am posting this
- **New update has just landed at https://lensvert.xyz**
Exciting news! Our input field just got a major upgrade! Now, in addition to regular inputs, you can enter wallet addresses and ENS domains. This new feature allows users to easily verify the ownership of a Lens profile simply by entering an individual's wallet address or .eth domain.
- One of the most famous example of Appropriation in Art is "L.H.O.O.Q. or La Joconde" by Marcel Duchamp:
"In 1919, Duchamp performed a seemingly adolescent prank using a postcard that represented the ideal of feminine beauty, Leonardo da Vinci's *Mona Lisa*. He drew a mustache and goatee on her face and added the letters "L.H.O.O.Q." The caption combines Duchamp's gleeful sense of wit with his love of wordplay: eliding the letters in French sounds like, "Elle a chaud au cul" ("There is fire down below"). The image trespasses traditional boundaries of appropriation by presenting a reproduction, however tarted up, as an original work of art. The masculinized female introduces the theme of gender reversal, which was popular with Duchamp, who adopted his own female pseudonym, Rrose Sélavy, pronouced "Eros, c'est la vie" ("Eros, that's life"). *La Joconde* instantly became his most famous readymade and a symbol for the international Dada movement, which rebelled against everything that art represented, particularly the appeal to tradition and beauty. The term "rectified and readymade" indicates that the artist has altered a found, mass-produced object."

Join me, @jessyjeanne.lens, @artfromfuture.lens and @molens.lens for the ARTHACK exhibition about Appropriation in Art on @lensprotocol 🌿
#Lens #lensfrens #lenscuration #artfromfutureExhibition #lensexhibition
- GM my #lensfrens; So @jessyjeanne.lens and I are curating this amazing exhibition with the help of @molens.lens and @artfromfuture.lens on @lensprotocol
The whole concept is based on appropriation in art. But what does appropriation mean in art?
"Appropriation refers to the act of borrowing or reusing existing elements within a new work. Post-modern appropriation artists, including Barbara Kruger, are keen to deny the notion of ‘originality’. They believe that in borrowing existing imagery or elements of imagery, they are re-contextualizing or appropriating the original imagery, allowing the viewer to renegotiate the meaning of the original in a different, more relevant, or more current context.
In separating images from the original context of their own media, we allow them to take on new and varied meanings. The process and nature of appropriation has been considered by anthropologists as part of the study of cultural change and cross-cultural contact." - Hayley A. Rowe
I really love the concept of denying originality, so I want to see how artists on Lens challenge artworks from history and appropriate them. We will publish the exhibition statement and further resources later.
I really hope to see works by @visualswithsam.lens @grams.lens @chaoticmonk.lens @memester.lens @gabriela.lens @arterlioz.lens @andresbriceno.lens @khudyakova.lens @ryanfox.lens @elliepritts.lens and other Great artists on #lens and I hope @stani.lens @bradorbradley.lens and @christina.lens Supports us too.
