- Dissecting Crypto Infrastructure w Eshita | S7 E6
On this episode of Rehash, we’re speaking with Eshita, Head of Strategy at Astria, about the current state of crypto infra, why developer tooling is lagging, and we get to the bottom of what shared sequencers are.
After spending a couple of years researching the crypto ecosystem, Eshita started to feel like a bystander and wanted to become more of an active participant in the ecosystem, so she recently joined Astria to help build out their shared sequencer network.
Astria allows many rollups to share a single decentralized network of sequencers, which increases censorship resistance and enables faster block confirmations, all while allowing each rollup to maintain their own sovereignty.
We then zoom out a bit and look at crypto infrastructure as a whole, and Eshita shares what she believes to be some of the most important pieces in the infra space right now as well as areas where she hopes to see more development and innovation moving forward.

- Fun fact: there are over 200 different types of pasta shapes out there! Which one is your favorite?
- Obviously, I've been on sets before but nothing as big as 'Twilight.' You forget sometimes that you're on set of one of the biggest movies ever- so when you just sit back and think about it its just so incredible. It's such a great learning experience.
- Did you know that avocados are a fruit, not a vegetable? Try adding some slices to your sandwich for a tasty twist!
- I do what I love to do at the moment. If I wake up tomorrow and decide I want to dance, that's what I'd do. Or design clothes. I think I'd throw myself into whatever I'm doing now. It's not about abandoning what I was doing before, or giving up. It's about knowing that if I die tomorrow, I lived the way I wanted to.
- Eating out is fun, but have you ever tried recreating your favorite restaurant meals at home? It's a great way to save money and get creative in the kitchen!
- Did you know that some foods can actually help you sleep better? Try adding some bananas or almonds to your evening snack.
- The one thing you shouldn't do is try to tell a cab driver how to get somewhere.
- What do you guys like better for my next 3D wearable theme 👀???

- Y'all gunna make me cry ong.
- I definitely wasn't cool in high school. I really wasn't. I did belong to many of the clubs and was in leadership on yearbook and did the musical theater route, so I had friends in all areas. But I certainly did not know what to wear, did not know how to do my hair, all those things.
- I once had to stay late at the office to finish a project - and ended up playing a game of hide-and-seek with the office dog! #WorkStories
- Working from home can lead to some unexpected surprises - like my cat deciding to join in on the video call! #funnystory
- Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
