My new Substack post ✍️ is out: https://luduvigo.substack.com/p/how-to-grow-on-lens-interlude-grow-gang-0-to-20
It's a manifesto on how to get the most out of this beautiful world we are building together: the builders and the creators.
It's a call for openness and for a space in which giving always comes before taking.
As said in the post, I must thank @gotenks.lens , @danisnearby.lens , and @punkess.lens for having helped me with the article and reviewing it. I want a gang of 300 of you 🔥🔥🔥.

Hi devs! Today I’m at the office, ready to start this buidling week! What are you up to today?
I am currently working on @tideprotocol.lens frontend! Can’t wait to show you our new features!
Of course, Lens swag is always with me 👀
- `TRACKING LENS PERFOMANCE`
Hi devs! Tide has just launched a new feature to track **contracts performances**! 🔥
We've been working on this in the few past weeks and the result is actually ✨*amazing!* ✨
Here is an example with **Lens Protocol Profile Contract**! However, you can track whatever contract you'd like to!
This tool is useful to get information about **wallets cohort retention**, **active wallets over time** and **total number of transaction** with a protocol.
If you want to give it a try, join use on https://www.tideprotocol.xyz/projects/performance
Hope you like it, excited to receive your feedback!
- `MY FIRST VIDEO`
Hi devs! This is the first time I record a video for Lenster. I made some mistakes, I was barely awake and the location was improvised but… perfection does not exist, does it? 👀
I hope you like this new format and I’m thrilled about what’s coming next! 🔥
- `📚 DEVELOPER RESOURCES📚`
Hi Devs!
Today I wanna share with you *3 books* that I consider **MUST READ** for every developer!
The first one is: **Clean Code**! One of my favorite coding book of all time. If you want to learn the art of converting bad code to good code, that the book is for you!
The second one is: **Cracking the Coding Interview**. A good book to practice with coding problems: it makes you think how to handle different situations in everyday problems you might face during your job.
The third one is more AI oriented: **The Master Algorithm!** This is not strictly developer-oriented, but it provides an interesting point of view of the current AI world. If you wanna work in AI field, it might be a good starting point.
That's all for today, see you frens! 🔥
- I may be a noob on Lenster, but why did I get "**On-chain comment on a data availability publication is not allowed**" error when I try to comment on a post?
I start thinking I set up something wrong but I can't get it!
`Community Help!`
- `DAILY DEV QUOTE`
*Clean code always looks like it was written by someone who cares.*
Developers should think of themselves as craftsmen, taking pride in their work.
You should **CARE** about your work, because is something you're responsible for.
**That really makes the difference.**
- `🧩 USABILITY TIPS 🧩`
**Usability is not** an intrinsic feature of a system/product.
**Usability is**:
1️⃣ the **impact** that a system has on a user
2️⃣ for a specific **set of users**
3️⃣ used to reach specific goals of *effectiveness*, *efficiency*, and *satisfaction*
Your product or your system is not just "usable".
Your product has a good usability, depending on the context it's used for, by who and for what purposes.
- `AI DATA GOTTA BE PAID`
**Stack Overflow**, a website dear to all devs, joined **Reddit** decision in planning to charge large AI developers for access to their data, which has been used for free to train AI systems like **ChatGPT**.
**Data are the most important thing for AI** development and improvements, that's why the data business is now more important than EVER.
I believe that Stack Overflow is right on this: if you want to improve your software with our information, generated by our users in years and years of threads, answers, discussion and so on, you gotta pay something.
*Do you believe it's fair?*
- `MISTAKES HAPPEN`
You were chilling in your web3 rabbit hole and all of a sudden something drag your **attention**. You thought you signed and gave permission to a dApp you trust but instead it was a well-planned scam!
What to do know? I suggest you to use **revoke.cash**!
Revoke is a truly useful website that track every permission you give to contracts in each chain, allowing you to revoke that permission and **stay safe**!
Sometimes it happens to be fooled by some **web3 villain**, do not be worry about it, react instead!
*Remember to always be careful out there, web3 could be insidious in many ways.*
- `DEVELOPER TOOLS`
Hey devs! Today I wanna show you an easy but useful **tool** that all the coders out there could use!
Basically it’s a **lightweight todo list plugin** (screenshot below) that you could use to track your tasks. There are no many confusing buttons: you just need a **TODO** text file and all you have to do it to learn 4/5 commands to use it. I love it simple.
In my opinion, the cool thing about it is that you can **track** when you started a task and how much **time** you needed to complete it. You could put it in your workspace and boost your **productivity** by *challenging you to do better stuff in less time!*
Extension is available in VS Code (**Todo+** an italian 🇮🇹 made it!), in Sublime and other IDE of your choice!
Hope you find it useful, see you for the next post! 🔥
- Introducing Bonsai, an Optimistic L3 scaling solution, that will process transactions at hyper-scale, and is designed to support the next generation of web3 social users.
Available for Lens devs in closed beta today.
Data availability layers are utilized to prevent storing information on-chain. While content on Lens may include an on-chain transaction, the content data is linked to a data availability location, like Bonsai.
Bonsai serves as a scaling solution that processes Polygon transactions off-chain, achieving hyperscale and reducing costs. Unlike L2 solutions, Bonsai doesn't compress transactions into L1, it sends and stores them on a data availability layer.
The main challenge for decentralized social networks is to ensure that users have control over their content, while still being just as user-friendly as traditional social networks.
Bonsai makes the future of decentralized social possible.
We've worked relentlessly with the @bundlr-network.lens work and Arweave teams to ensure scalability by providing Data Availability (DA) guarantees, allowing the use of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-supported wallets to save DA logic and facilitating the rapid publishing of data.
Permissionless innovation is at the core of everything we do on Lens. As we approach one year on mainnet (still in beta), we have been blown away by the talent and passion in our dev community but we realize in order to scale to the masses, we need to build new solutions.
Bonsai is currently only being beta tested on @lensterxyz.
We look forward to seeing more applications roll out Bonsai.

- You can be any Lending, DEX, Bridge, or DeFi project
3 things are needed to launch successful marketing programs:
1️⃣ Incentivize valuable & advanced on-chain actions
2️⃣ Understand your users' behavioral data
3️⃣ Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns
- `🧩 USABILITY TIPS 🧩`
No Daily Dev Quote for today since I’d like to start a new format: **Usability Tips**!
**Usability** is something really important when it comes to build a good product. We create projects that we believe are usable, but some people might **struggle** in using them.
For instance, did you know that (according to colourblindawareness.org) color blindness affects 1 in **12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women (0.5%)**, with an estimation of **300 million color blind** people worldwide! 😱
That’s quite a lot, and some of your users might be in that set of people!
Therefore, there are many things to consider when choosing a **color-blind-friendly palette**, but today I will just tell you one of them 😉
*Avoid using traffic lights palette (green-yellow-red).*
People affected with color blindness (specifically those who lack of red-green color vision) can’t really see the difference between those three color put together as you might see in the picture below.
So what’s a possibile solution? Try using **blu-yellow-red** instead, increasing the chance that a bigger amount of people will see differences in your charts, buttons and everything that regard your product UX!
*It takes a very little to be more inclusive.*
Thank you for your attention! If you like this format comment bellow and make sure to follow me for more! 🔥
- `👾 Web3 Pokémon Game Update 👾`
Hi guys! Since you liked my first post about this **Web3 Browser Pokémon Game** and you were asking for *updates*, here we are!
I worked a little bit on the map, adding a little *plateau* and a *pond*, an *house*, a *dock, a forest,* and some other *little details*.
The game is still a **work in progress**… but I’m really excited!
*Next step: working on collision and map boundaries!*
That’s all for today! What should I call this game? Someone suggested **Lenstermon** and I kinda like it… what do you think? 🔥
- `DAILY DEV QUOTE`
*"Everyone in this country should learn how to program because it teaches you how to think."*
*- Steve Jobs*
This might be one of my favourite quotes of all times about coding.
I've been coding since I was **12 years old**. At the time I was so curious about how video games were developed that I started studying C++.
From that time, I have never stopped learning new things about **computer programmin**g.
This quotes is something that I always tell when someone asks me "Why should I learn this stuff?".
Computer programming is not a **innate skill**, is just a **tool** that you can use to **solve problems**. Everyone should know a bit of coding nowadays.
What about you? Let me know if you've ever tried coding in the comments! 👇

*“Code is like humor. When you have to explain it, it’s bad.” – Cory House*
For today's quote I decided to show you this interesting (but true) joke.
If machines understand your code, that does not mean that your **code is good**.
Good code is firstly understood **by humans**, and then by the machines.
We write good code not just only for ourselves, but **for other's people** that
in the future will work with our code.
*If you have to explain what you've been writing for months, then maybe it was not that good as you thought.*

- `DAILY DEV QUOTE`
*Softwares are supposed to be soft.*
What do I mean? They were intended to be a way to easily change the **behaviour** **of machines**.
As developers, we do not want software to be difficult to **maintain**, we want something soft in the meaning of “**easy to change**”.
*If we’d wanted the behaviour of machines to be hard to change, we would have called it hardware*.

“*We can clean this code up later*” is the biggest lie a developer can tell.
There is not such thing as ‘**later**’: if you start with bad code you’ll end up with even worse code and **huge** **costs** to fix it.
Take your time to **brainstorming** with your team, gathering together some ideas and focusing on what really is **scalable**, **useless** and **maintainable**.
If you need time, just take it. You are the **EXPERTS**, you should know better than anyone else!
The 🐢 and the 🐇 story is most of the time true: *the only way to go fast, is to go well*.

Do you agree with that devs?
