- OpenSea has officialy moved to their SeaPort Protocol
- Save an estimated 35% in gas fees for transactions using Seaport
- New users won’t have to pay a one-time setup fee
- It's Open Source!
This will defintely allow OpenSea and the community at large to launch new features at a faster pace.
*PURE SPECULATION*
Protocols have a tendency to issue tokens at some point...OpenSea has avoided this on their way to an IPO, however, with SeaPort being a decentralized protocol, it's worth keeping an eye on their activities

- @dannyryan, Eth 2.0 Researcher at the Ethereum Foundation had this to say about the Ropsten Merge
“Ropsten Merge was a MAJOR success, If this were mainnet, I’d be jumping for joy”
The most notable issue was a small downtime for about 14% of validators, which was resolved by either a reboot of the node, or a small config change and subsequent redeployment. While confidence was high amongst the devs, this exceeded my expectations of the first public test net merge
Ryan concluded with tweeting, “If these were the issues observed during the mainnet transition, Then it would be considered a resounding success. Fantastic work.”
