- gm all! came back to Orb after a few months and really impressed with the work done. Go devs 🫡
- With what's happening with Alex Pertsev and Roman Storm shows the wisdom of Satoshi
Nakamoto. Had he not remained
anonymous, he'd probably be in prison right now. Not saying they should've been anonymous since nothing they did was criminal. Privacy is our right, not a privilege.
- Reason 24536 why I hate Windows. I wanted to change the computer's language to English. Couldn't do it unless I reinstalled the entire OS. And if I want to change it back, same thing. Linux, Okay, go ahead, it'll be ready next time you restart 🙂
- Create a dApp fast and easy with @alchemyuniversity.lens part 2!
- Use @alchemyuniversity.lens npx create-web3-dapp@latest.lens to launch your next dApp in minutes! It includes components to easily build your dApp! Should I do more videos on this?
- Productivity tip: Never look at your email until the end of the day. Your email is a waste pit of urgent action items that are not important.
Do your essential action items first, and look at your email at the end of the day when your brain isn’t at its peak. Responding doesn’t usually take that much effort.
- For the next few weeks we at the ⛨ Cyfrin team will be streaming a LIVE web3 solidity audit from a paid protocol.
As far as we know, this has never been done before.
For those of you looking to follow along to see an end-to-end audit as it happens LIVE here are the details you need to know 👇
🐸️ 1. You can follow along and watch me and our team at @CyfrinAudits work over the next few weeks here on twitch.
https://www.twitch.tv/patrickalphac
I will do my best to steam everything I can. This is undeployed code, so we shouldn't find any live exploitable issues. Sometimes, I will need to turn off the camera, but I'll try to stream as much as possible so you can see the inner workings.
⛲️ 2. We will be working on the @BeanstalkFarms's new Wells implementation.
As you already know, decentralized stablecoins are essentail to the success of web3 and DeFi, and especially as we've seen over this past week, the "decentralized" aspect of a stablecoin is more important than ever.
💰 If you're unfamiliar with stablecoins, be sure to watch this video I made a few months back.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pciVQVocTYc
👯♂️ 3. We will not be working alone!
Teamwork makes the dreamwork.
1 auditor == 1 person of work
2 auditors == 4 people of work
Bouncing ideas off each other aggressively is important, and we will do this in the steam. We at Cyfrin have many ideas boards which I won't show on stream, but I'll say when I'm dropping an idea on the board.
🫘 4. We will not be working alone (part 2!)
A private audit with a company is more than just the report. We are looking at:
- How good the docs are
- How mature testing is
- Any best practices to be followed
Constant communication with the protocol devs is all part of the security journey, especially for a private audit.
- In a competitive audit, the product is the report.
- In a private audit, the product is the security journey, best practices & feedback, AND the report.
I will not be sharing the chat between us and Bean developers, however I will be mentioning when I ask them questions.
🟢 5. We will be starting in the next half hour
I will not be responding to twitch chat as I audit, however, I need to take breaks. So please add questions into the chat and I will get to them once I reach a break.
Please leave feedback and let us know if you find value in this!

- Hey everyone! I was at ETHDenver 😁 Let’s stay connected on lens 🌿
- knowing that you are not knowledgeable enough about a topic in order to broadcast your opinion to the world as if you are an expert in it is a virtue
very easy to lose respect for someone when they jump into every topic as if they are an expert
in tech there's also this balance between sharing what you learn in public, and imposter syndrome
in this case being a good communicator, period, can give you a lot of credibility as you learn (and will help a lot of other people as well as you share the knowledge you're gaining)
- Them: How much swag did you get?
Me: Yes.
Say hi if you see your brand here from ETHDenver!

- Hi @vitalik.lens 👋🏻
- I'm at ETHDenver!! Are you?
- Some of the arguments critics of Web3 make are interesting. Here are some examples.
1. It's not necessary
2. It's not actually decentralized
3. It's not private
4. It's not scalable
5. It consumes too much energy
6. It's a scam
**Why is it interesting?**
Although having critics is critical to critical thinking and ensuring we stay grounded in reality, these are baseless points.
1. Web3 is necessary because it allows us, everyday people, to control our own lives, rather than trusting the government or banks. How often does 1 parent lie to their kid to keep the family's sanity? Now imagine how much cooperations and governments lie.
2. Some blockchain networks may not be as decentralized as we like, but I assure you, Bitcoin is a truly decentralized network. I would even go as far as to say it'd be impossible to remove it at this point.
3. Some blockchains, like Bitcoin and Ethereum are not private by default, BUT you can be 100% private on these networks if desired. However, there are networks that are private by default. Monero is a great example. There's no traceability in transactions.
4. Actually, it is very scalable. Satoshi Nakamoto, 1 person or a small group created Bitcoin, now look at where it is today. It has tremendously scaled and there are massive amounts of transactions on the network constantly. Ethereum is also scaling very well. There is plenty of other proof that blockchain is scalable.
5. The Ethereum network consumes less energy than YouTube, Netflix, Gaming, and PayPal. Bitcoin may consume a bit of energy, but I believe it to be necessary.
6. This really makes me shake my head. Yes, there are scams, but have you never heard of phishing scams that occur through emails? Scam calls? People that do the illegal activity by far still use cash because Bitcoin is NOT private by default. Everything is traced. If anything, the utilization of blockchain tech can help remove scams in our society.
At the end of the day, whether we argue about it or not, Web3 and blockchain are here to stay. It's innovative and it's going to make the world a better place, as it's already doing.

- Monday is my favorite day of the week, here's why:
**A fresh start:**
Monday marks the start of a new week, which means it's a chance to set new goals and make a fresh start. This can be motivating and help you feel energized and focused for the rest of the week.
**Less crowded:**
Many people hate Mondays because they have to go back to work or school, but this also means that things are often less crowded on Mondays. You might have an easier time getting a workout in at the gym, finding a parking spot, or getting a table at your favorite restaurant.
**More productive:**
Research has shown that people are generally more productive on Mondays, possibly because they're more rested after the weekend and have a clear head after a few days off. So if you need to get things done, Monday might be the best day to do it.
**Good for your health:**
Studies have shown that people who start their week off on a positive note tend to be healthier and happier overall. So if you make an effort to start your week off well, you might find that it has a positive impact on your physical and mental health.
**Fun events:**
Many events and activities happen on Monday nights, such as trivia nights at bars, comedy shows, and concerts. So if you're looking for something to do on a weeknight, Monday might be the best day to check out what's going on in your area.
While Monday might not be everyone's favorite day of the week, it has a lot of benefits and can be a great day to start the week off on the right foot.
