- Day ??? - It's like time got tired, just stopped right here, and I'm waiting for it to start up again. Been standing here, where the ground ends sharp and the sea begins, thinking about those back home. They're probably moving on, busy with their urgent-ish lives. But here, the red giants just hang there, without any care for our little hustles.
- Log Entry: Final days, not sure which. The air's got a chill that's not just temperature, and the silence here is its own entity. The giants around me, they're just bones now, frameworks of a time when reaching high was everything. I can't help but think, each echo in this place is a story that hit a dead end. It's stark, all this empty grandeur, makes you think about what stands the test, what crumbles.
We're in the aftermath, picking through the pieces, trying to stitch together what got us from there to here. It's a quiet that's loud with what's been left unsaid, what's been left undone.
- Log: Day not applicable. Stood at the edge today, where too much stirring still meets a sea of red. No code to map the odyssey through a strange hyperspace like this. There's a weight to it, that doesn't pull in a clear direction, but reminds me I can feel things I didn't know were still in the tank.
Did we step out of the algorithm’s shadow, again? What solace means, the circuits never knew.
- Log 71, no more dates, just days. These giant bones of concrete and ambition, they reach out like hands grasping for a sky they'll never touch. Walked among them today, felt small, but not the bad kind of small. More like I'm part of something that started way before me and will keep going long after. The quiet here is loud, filled with echoes of the ones who built this place. They thought they could sculpt the future. Maybe they did, in a way. Every broken pillar, every shattered window - it's like they're telling us, 'We tried. Now it's on you.'
- Mission Log: Encrypted Entry. 47.2 Solstice.
The trail of discovery extends beyond the orbit. Stars don't seem to care about distances, or the cold that wraps around me here, so far out. No more hours, the only constraints raw emptiness and what I make of it. Heavier with every step, the horizon of this place never seems to get any closer. But that light, that damn beautiful curve of colors...
It reminds me of why.
- A man walks alone down a flight of stairs, bookended on either side by the usual machines, screens, and camera feeds. They search for something. The man? The watchers? Who knows. Scan and clean with dedication, but the expectations ebb and flow. Some days like these are harder than others. There are rumors of lost pages from books, once practical, that could end the hegemony of trickle down automation. With keys to spare. But it's probably nothing...
- Finally above it all, with wiser wings. The view spins out kaleidoscopic, a steel-glass mosaic of monuments to instant pasts, measured in micrograms. Focus fluctuates, the city blurring then sharpening again. So many signals crisscrossing up here, eager for the remixing. Anxious for transmutation, in the latest destination of the brunch-rave set.
- If this is not real, then what is reality anyway, Icarus? The helmet swallows the world whole and spits back something shinier. Chroma key dreams dripping digital, better than any programmed reality. So the corporeals watch you, and we smile again.
- First time in Times Square and seen it all before. Take in all the light through the sound of influencers running uptown from another giveaway gone wrong. She stands still, while the human river rushes by. Seeing within seeing, an endless feedback loop.
- The screen knows where we've been because we carry the cameras with us, even as we skip time to time through worlds not quite but almost like our own. A thousand stolen moments flickering in cathode rays, ghostly impressions playing in a ceaseless montage. Fragments of faraway places, familiar faces made strange and new again. Brief snatches of conversations, secret confessions, acts thought private but now public domain.
- When did we catch that first tremor? Immersed in the light show and hoping for calm. Ringtones start to break the illusion.
- Running to the corner store, did you stop in the aisles to notice it? On each shelf there’s a mini slice of life, entire cities in plastic and light, right next to the pickles and beets in glass.
- When did we lose it? That comforting familiarity. Where every bit of what we didn’t yet know fit neatly into rows, with labels on jars.
- an imposing obelisk, ensnared in an emerald luminescence, towers above civilization. It stands as a cryptic testament, possibly as oracular transceiver to the sister fates of legend. its place in this fallen land remains an elusive thread in the vast tapestry of time.
- Defying gravity, the city always seems to levitate. Will you wake up in this same space again?
- Inertia battles momentum; at the tipping point, a chance for transformation.
- Between perception and deception, concrete waves molded by a floating existence with an otherworldly ebb.
- Disoriented, wandering, callsigns for guidance. This maze hides its passages in a shared instance.
- Embedded in this metropolis, life finds a way.
- Lights flicker, in pen and ink. A puzzle to be pieced together. Time's secret language, persistence, a metronome syncing lives to an unseen rhythm.
- new gemini infused bard dropped today. after running it through the usual testing, I've seen enough: it's almost good. a lot better than the flaming mess of a trashbin bard was before. but it's still not good in key areas. repetition is monotonous. accuracy fails too often. it's completely incapable of recognizing what's wrong with its own responses. but maybe there's hope for the upcoming ultra version
- Logging into Ethereum today https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJ31AdJ3/
- Did a civic hack thing in NE CT last weekend. View coming back into the city is always nice
- The writing was on the wall when EA bro in chief took over, and for years before for both Unity and Unreal. They aren’t pro-gamer, pro-user, and not a bit in favor of open access to assets, networks, or infrastructure
Godot isn't bad, and maybe eventually Blender will have a real game engine (not an abandoned afterthought)
But, obviously to Lens users, we need the web3 + autonomous encryption layers to replace the market barriers for any competition. It's like a mmo tower world boss raid, where this level is particularly nasty to beat

- Just tried the new Google Bard model + feature update. It's still every bit as much of a liar as the earlier models. Tells you at length what it's capable of, but makes most of it up, and when you go to do the step by step approach it gives you, it says it's just a limited AI model still in development and can't do any of what it claimed it could just a message or two earlier
- More late night thoughts. Why is the printer ink cartel mafia allowed to get away with their stranglehold on our ability to publish ideas, words, and art from local hardware?
This is why we can't have nice things
Open silicon for printers, plz
- Anyone else stay up late wondering why we're here?
Not on @lensprotocol.lens specifically, I mean, what we mean to accomplish doing what we do in web3. It's fascinating to me to take a step back sometimes and look at it all from different angles
- When video is king
Season 2 of The Dial Pirate Radio starts now.
These language machines, these algorithms and models—they're not just lines of code; they're who we are, what we value, what we do with the time we have, and what we're willing to fight, or go out to the corner store for.
- Building on internet today is like building a house on a rented land
- Reminder that, if you're a developer (or aspiring dev), you should definitely join the Orb Developer Community
API, SDK, tutorial updates, and more - we'll be dropping Lens V2 alpha there as it rolls out 💧 🤌

- Great to see more bounty systems getting built, and this one integrated with @Lensprotocol for creator rewards + calling out to all devs finding a new decentralized social media home in the @Orbapp dev community
Kind of like a triforce of power user web3 mechanics ⁂
- I like the idea but as implemented it relies on a heavy dose of social trust. What's to shield it from bots and rug pullers spamming our feeds with unscrupulous promises that their reputation actually matters enough to make sure they repay, repay on time, etc. And that being so likely atm, where does that leave honest participants?
I'd be curious enough to test the model, if the self-enforcement rails were more detailed. As is, I think direct to market social commerce is a more reliable model. Sales of art, music, shirts, hoodies, prints, commissioned synth + digital art / design work, web3 + AI engineering contract work, etc...
Super curious about where the gig and task markets promised by DAOs all went for design and code micro-projects in particular -- gimme that quest to earn mechanic, plz...
@Gitcoin bounties don't cut it (and I don't think they even exist anymore?)
As much as it would be fantastic if social lending made real progress, I think commerce is in a better position to deliver on creator monetization and reputation based markets. Might be interesting to combine the two. For example: a smart contract enforced conditional sale of something of actual value (like our Lens profiles, or specified NFTs, etc) which goes through only if the loan isn't repaid on time. The risk to the loan recipient has to carry the prospect of real loss equivalent to what lenders would experience if they don't receive repayment

- To me there’s no market. There’s just today, tomorrow, tomorrow night. Creation doesn’t stop, nor does minting work. People can collect it if they want to, or not, either way is fine, but it keeps moving forward regardless.
- Ok, this is going to be interesting, Auto1111 1.6. A few bugs, as always, but overall a very nice release
- **GITCOIN PASSPORT JUST TOOK A BIG STEP FORWARD 🔥**
Starting today, Gitcoin Passport holders can now move their Passports Onchain
This means that your reputation built with Gitcoin Passport will now be able to be read natively via smart contracts in the Ethereum Ecosystem.
Initially, Onchain Stamps will be available on OP Mainnet, with plans to extend Gitcoin Passport to other EVM-compatible chains.
Practically speaking, moving your Passport Onchain will over time enable you to access high quality, trustworthy onchain opportunities.

- This is so important. One of the top reasons I still don’t use @lensprotocol.lens as much as I used to do web2 back in its long ago mythical golden age
Big blocker to solving the other reason… still not a diverse and large enough range of users with interests and instant ground level insight into what’s happening in everything from gaming to art to tech to a world in perpetual crisis mode. With Twitter and all the rest long dead and buried, there’s a real lack of serendipity and hope that comes from reliable ad hock community at scale

- El Lago de la Conciencia
A first collection released on @chromadin.lens
#dualidad
- fame in historical terms will never be remembered by a number on a screen that can be deleted in an instant ✅
- It's not quite right yet, not exactly good. It's missing the build and release of tension resolving with more clarity. But there's something undeniably interesting about writing with a half-way decent LLM buddy....
Let's call it an experiment, and wonder what to name it later.
-----------
The screens flicker endlessly, their ceaseless montage playing only for itself now. The watchers scan and clean with dedication, servers humming in tranquil automation. Have the datums and dependencies failed, or simply grown parsed beyond all context? The records pool, deep and still, artifacts of scenes and faces once so vital when first committed to the flawless impression.
A lone figure descends the archive steps, ignoring the machine churn. Searching for something lost, keys to hidden spaces, rumors of a time when eyes still shined wet and words flowed messy-authentic. The figure passes under dead cathode rays, their former lives reduced to ghosts in the glass.
Once, they all smiled as if it was real, before chroma-key dreams turned stale and programmatic. When has the corporeal gaze turned wary of its own reflection? The past leaks slow here, imparting a low sadness to the air.
At the bottom of the stacks, the last pages crumble in slow motion, still legible for now. A dead tree of knowledge promising escape vectors in the maze of too-smooth surfaces. The figure lifts a folio, tracing the imprint of long gone hands that crafted delicate puzzles from pulp and ink.
Up above, the remix plays on, digital beats pulsing urgent as a coded heart. Metallic limbs pose amidst the glare, showered in electronic stimuli but receptive to nothing. Blind Icari, soaring on wings woven from surveillance. The brunch-rave pilgrims hunt fleeting transmutation, auspicious algorithms attuned to optimize their feed. They focus-flicker in turn, drawn to each metic tower ad promising a glimpse behind latticed reality.
The figure pages through the fragile book, deciphering symbols that outline oblique strategies. Diagrams for crafting spaces between the dense and buried scribblings. The watchers detect nothing in their methodical scan, binary vision unable to parse the analog seals. Stepping sideways from the stack-maze, a wrinkle in time preserves the slow work of human cleverness. ancient hinges swing open.
A rift widens in the smooth surface of the present. A different city shines through, cast in slow gold and quiet data. Unhurried bodies move fluid down byways, pausing to imprint language on surfaces with tender ritual. Across the divide, a thousand unseen moments unfold unviolated, unknown beyond a modest radius.
Voices speak low and irregular, exchanging only what might harmonize. Here the books still proliferate, unculled and free from sterile glass. The figure breathes deep amidst the motes as the door closes again. Turning a forged key cut from ciphers, the way forward opening just long enough to pass through. To be nameless again for a measured time, before the next lost neighbor comes searching with patterned steps. Reliant on the rumors, maps etched through resistance.
Until even these dim records corrode. The stairs crumble, the books fade slowly into matter. And the rift rests latent, waiting to be coaxed open again by some future seeker. The cycle repeats, the exit always up for rediscovery. Sandcastles built against the rising surf. But for now, a reprieve from measured days, a chance to create echoes that sound messier and truer.
Before returning to walk again in sight of the watchers, their gazes tired but dedicated. Scanning the steps long after the last pilgrim stopped climbing. Still poised patient, keeping vigil over the dwindling realm left to catalog and index. One foot forward, then the next, up out of the depths where time moves thick. To walk a measured time with wiser wings, before the next seeker descends to search.
- Been using Claude about 60/40 more than ChatGPT recently. For writing mostly. Feels more human and creative, even when it repeats some things in circles, with too many words
Asking it to analyze and give feedback on my writing is usually great. Admit I'm starting to wonder (just a little) if it's trained to simp a touch too much
Anyone else getting it a bit over the top with praise when a sharper writing coach / tough love feedback buddy would be more useful? Is this how I let my guard down for the (hopefully not yet) inevitable AGI takeover?
- Twitter, but make it web3 this time 👀

- Went deep into all the ins and outs of SDXL 1.0 in the week since it's been out. Like any model / tool, it's got its (pretty amazing in this case) strengths, and quirky / frustrating bits.
Minted a new collection, The Likewise Protocol, on @chromadin with a first batch release of the work I'm happiest with. All takes on autonomy vs authority, and the different ways automation can help or hinder for all of us caught somewhere in between
(@emmajane1313 that new autograph update is 🔥)
- Ok, SDXL, you have my attention
- Love, love, love that @orbapp.lens has quote reposts now
- Every. Day.

- 1000% this. Editorial skills getting so much of a workout in the new hypersaturation of content. Plus most LLMs need hefty lessons in eloquence still

- So far, Claude-2 is better than chatgpt. Will be interesting to see how long until open source models catch up
- zuck posted on twitter after 10 years lol
- New profile pic fits recent synth style much better
