- I heard a rumor that the fantastic web3 writing app sigle.io is coming to lens! 👀
Keep an eye on @lens/sigle and @lens/cryptobaguette !

Though I did not ask for it
The choice became mine
To stay or to go?"

- "For it is oft with aching heart I wonder
Should the soil my innards plunder
Would my soul begins again
Never to face an endless end"
I took the concept of life after death for granted for most of my 31 years. Lately I wonder if the eternal life Jesus talks about has more to do with an unshakeable commitment to living that produces joy and love and hope, and less to do with avoiding never actually dying. So I wrote a bit about that.

- I wrote this one a few years ago. At the time it felt important but I've written a lot of things that fade in significance with age and experience. This one still rings true, if not truer. "Frail Phoenix" might just be something I add to my magnum opus.
--
I have followed frail phoenixes; hoping for a glimpse of their face
I watched as they fell, awaited their triumphant rise,
And wondered if suspended specks of floating ash are all I'm gonna get
I sought Thor's hammer
I searched for the hidden temple
I called on the mystery
And demanded polarity
I thought the silence was disapproval
I wailed and let blood flow from open sores
Thinking it would be lapped up in a grateful frenzy
I was but a gruesome spectacle
Oh, frail phoenix
A grandiose contraption, to be sure
"You will know them by their fruit"
He said
(If at all possible, please take this cup)
So now I follow the fruit
Though it drops from a tree I will probably never find
Does the branch seek the trunk?
Should the roots look for the bark?
Is the hand best used by searching for its arm?
Frail Phoenix
Rather
Enjoy the succulence
Be enriched by its flavor
There you will be
"Where two or more are gathered
There **I am** also"
Come and Live

- Not sure how to feel about this news from @LensProtocol . On the one hand, this move encourages quality content and engagement. On the other, it feels like a form of censorship that needs more work and thought.

- Pretty excited about making this move. I love all decentralized blockchains, but I've been excited about Stacks for multiple years and its utility is finally blooming like everything else this spring. Bring on the bulls 🐂

- I downloaded this image/quote from tumblr sometime in 2010-ish. It gave words to a feeling I'd had but was as yet unable to name. Banksy's indictment of the disrespect modelled by advertisers has lived in my head ever since.
Now, finally, I feel like a solution is appearing. Hats off to everyone working in web3 to enable digital ownership and sovereignty.

- Eeeehhhh...Who wants to own the first $WAV3 tokens? 👀👀👀
We are starting our campaing to decentralice our pre seed round 🫡
We released 👉 99 spots to join our round this month, and our Discord community already occupied 34% of the spots in the lasts hours!!! They got the alpha first.
We are crowdsourcing a total of 20.000 Matic in this campaign, having a minimum of 202 matics per spot.
These tokens will be redeemable for private equity or a liquid token that we'll release in the future!
And the first holders will have 🌟 special 🌟 treatment when that happens ❤️
This campaing will last until 29 of april 🗓️
We must get to the goal this month first!
In the case we reach it, next will be accounted in the same valuation.
Anyone interested just write to wav3s DMs, law forbides us to share the link in public!
DONT SHARE THE LINK WE SEND YOU IN DMs PUBLICLY, at least that's what the securities law demands 🤷♂️
ONLY ACCEPT LINKS COMING FROM THIS ACCOUNT plsss!!!! don't fall for scams
🌊 🌊 🌊 🌊 🌊
PD: If you see this message "No club found on this address", connect your wallet in the upper rigth corner, be sure to be using Polygon
FULL DISCLOSURE: This token is for early supporters, if you want full settled tokenomics, you can wait til we launch the public token, after all the early supporters were rewarded 😋
- Happy #shappella day!
- I've noticed I only ever seem to be able to accomplish three *significant* things in a 9 hour-ish working day. Lots of other little things get done. But large things that require lots of time, focus, and attention - average 3 per day.
Anyone else encounter this phenomenon? Is it just me?
- Woohoo!
Collecting options in @orbapp.lens 🥳🥳🥳
This. Is. Awesome 👏
Keep up the great work!

- Watching quiet place pt 2 and realizing I'd have literally no chance because of my obnoxious snoring(so says my partner)
- Ok ok ok here's one I'm chewing on:
Ancient Hebrews referred to god as 'YHWH' for a host of reasons. One of the more common is that the 'proper' pronunciation of the word just sounds like breathing. The idea of the spirit of God being the breath that gives us life is a pretty persistent one in Hebrew thought.
So here's what recently struck me: the trees move when wind(air) passes through them. We move when we take air into our bodies. When we stop moving/living is directly correlated to when we stop allowing the air to move in and out of our bodies. Our movement is correlated to the air moving 'through' us. Just like the trees(and anything else the wind animates).
How might thinking about our breathing like wind in trees effect our relationship with the earth and the world around us? Will it? Should it?
Haven't taken it much farther than this. But curious to hear if it sparks any thoughts in others.
- Happy Easter!

- Marketing is such a fickle thing. Anyone with enough money can promote their product. The highest bidder gets the highest promotion. In a perfect capitalist society the assumption is that the person with the best product(worthy of promotion) gets to promote it the most(deservedly).
Somehow, this is not the case. Hopefully models like @wav3s fix that.

- Does the one who cries, 'freedom for all!' also cry, 'I would like to take responsible for all my choices and actions!'
In other words: are freedom and responsibility inseparably linked?
How does this effect our approach to web3? Should it?
What are the implications? Are there any?
- Legit realized halfway through a phone conversation today that it was an A.I.
Only reason I figured it out was because it answered my question so fast that for a split second there were two of the same voices saying different things at once.
What a time to be alive
- Hey everyone! This post is my attempt at some Socratic philosophy. Please read it scenically and with an open mind. The goal of this dialect is to either disprove atheism, or prove that there are two planes of reality. As a gnostic, this is an important exercise in affirming or proving my personal beliefs of the hypostasis. If you think of a good criticism, I would really enjoy it!
Here it goes:
So we are going to start by making two assumptions that have to be true for reality to exist in only one plane of existence.
The first assumption is: The universe must be infinite. If this is untrue then the universe must be contained within another set of reality.
The second assumption is that: consciousness is created by a summation of atomic like particles. If this is untrue then consciousness is arising (or in my biased opinion connecting) to our perceived plane of reality.
So the first natural question is this: Is consciousness made up of matter?
We look at the laws defined and say, “yes, consciousness is made up of matter.”
The next question is this, “Given infinite time, should our consciousness be reconstructed by the realignment of matter.”
When we look at the laws defined we should answer, “Yes, given an infinite time after death our consciousness should be reconstructed, and it should in fact be ‘us.’”
The next question is more perplexing: “Based on the statement that consciousness can be reconstructed given an infinite amount of time, would you say that in an infinite universe, you should be conscious in greater than one location?”
While unintuitive, the answer according to our laws is: “yes, of course.”
Now the follow up is the real killer, “Then why aren’t you? Why aren’t you or any of the other of billions of humans on earth experiencing.”
The clear answer is that one of the two laws is incorrect, imo disproving the notion of atheism. The best counter arguments imo are the monist-everything is happening in your head, but I still think that’s two planes: your head and perceived reality. And, there’s also the argument that consciousness is serial, not continuous, and generated in parallel with the surrounding universe, so the laws would be true and you would just be interacting with parallel universes simultaneously, but I don’t really buy that personally. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed and please lmk your thoughts!
- Every time I see or hear James Cameron speak, the only audible sound is "have you heard about our Lord and saviour, James Cameron?" On repeat for some reason.
- Very intrigued by the social media advertising model presented by @wav3s.lens : reward people with a bit of $WMATIC for mirroring content with plenty of control settings to make sure you're not being bot spammed(such as minimum followers required in order to mirror).
Very excited to try it out!!

Hello? Is this thing on? Been having trouble posting from mobile apps the past few days.

- @m1guelpf.lens is the twitter reflect app still working? My lens posts haven't been hitting twitter at all lately.
- Anyone else having trouble with xmtp signing on @buttrfly.lens for android? I sign it and it just prompts me to sign again as it nothing happened.
Also, the @ feature for tagging accounts displays list of accounts over the text I'm typing so I don't know if I've put in a typo for a tag.

- Testing my first collect-enabled post on lens with @buttrfly.lens for android. This is hype: finally collect settings on mobile!!
Wen lens version of Spotify?
- The reason I know that web3 is a long way from full adoption is because the majority of chatter on @lenster.lens and the protocol as a whole still seems largely focused on crypto and web3. It feels like the lens protocol is a discord server for the crypto community.
People don't use Twitter just to talk about twitter and data centers. They use it to talk about everything.
Web3 will be fully adopted when it's what people use for conversation about anything and everything.
This is partially why I periodically try to post about entirely non-crypto or web3 related things on this platform.
How else can we get to a point where lens protocol isn't just an over saturated crypto twitter?
Maybe @stani.lens has some thoughts?
- validator 118802 has entered the gnosis chat 🫡
Seriously though pretty excited to have my first node up and running.
- I've been taking some courses in philosophy because...haha...get it? But seriously: I've combined a few assignments I had to complete into an essay that has a conclusion which surprised me. And isn't that the outcome hoped for with these things?
I was proud of my work enough that I thought I would share it for others to read if you're into that. Follow the link.

- The real horror story is that AI already HAS taken over the world and has been successfully manipulating us for over a decade.
Oh wait that's the matrix
- Anytime someone says AI will take over the world I think about whenever I ask our Google home to do literally anything at all. Nuff said.
- Very excited to say I have finally updated all my social bio links to use owl.link . One more step toward a decentralized internet.
