- I have a few doubts!!
As Lenster mentioned in the docs
*Lens Protocol seeks to solve major issues in existing social media networks. Namely, Web2 networks all read from their unique, centralized database. There is no portability. Your profile, friends, and content are locked to a specific network and owned by the network operator.*
1. But if we are building profiles on lensters, other apps built on top of the lens protocol can access those profiles. Doesn't this mean that these apps are actually using a centralized database?
2. Is Lens decentralized?
3. Are posts, comments, etc. recorded on-chain? I don't see any transaction happening while doing any of that.
I'll probably have more follow-up questions once these are cleared.
- Since most of the web2 apps have a web3 alternative,
What do you guys think of a decentralized developer search platform (the Developers Pool)?
A platform where developers in the Web3 space create their profiles, recruiters filter the developers according to their needs, send the devs their JD, and let the devs schedule a meeting, all in the app.
- Here to figure out what lens actually is, and how will it help me as a developer.
