@yoginth.lens I don't have the ability to comment on your original thread so I just wanted to say this comment is spot on. Reddit-style communities with thread-based discussions rather than the current Twitter-like feeds is hugely needed. At r/EthFinance we were looking for a web3 solution to migrate to after the recent Reddit fiasco but unfortunately there wasn't anything sufficient. We love Lens but the Twitter style feeds were a hard no for us since we're huge users of threads to host daily discussions with organized replies and sorting. Nothing currently fits this bill and is a huge opportunity loss with the Reddit exodus.
Thank you Twitter for giving m the nudge I needed to try out Lens again
Does @lensprotocol support communities and contexts to create reddit-like threaded content?
Most of us have encountered this screen before, prompting you to sign a message. Like checking "I have read an understand the Terms of Service", you have no idea what you're agreeing to and hope for the best. Blindly signing a signature request is a huge risk everyone is taking b/c it's difficult to know what you're actually signing. This means even the more advanced users are vulnerable (not just noobs) and **you can unknowingly sign a transaction that drains your wallet**. Why is sign messages even needed in the first place? Signing is used to make sure you're the owner of the connected wallet. This is typically used for "offchain apps" where there's interactions being made that are saved in a database rather than onchain. This is a problem that spans across the ecosystem so @ZenGo took the initiative and introduced EIP-6384! The goal of this EIP is to present a human-readable text description to make an informed decision while signing transactions. https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/blob/master/EIPS/eip-6384.md If you're interested in following this EIP, you can view the discussions on the Ethereum Magicians forum: https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/eip-6384-readable-eip-712-signatures/12752
