- The bitter truth of investments.
Many people consider US Treasuries to be the most reliable in the world.
However, the reality is that twenty-year Treasuries dropped by half in price since March 2020.
In comparison, Ethereum increased 17 times during the same period.
By allocating just 3% of your capital to Ethereum in March 2020, you could have earned more than with a 100% investment in those Treasuries.
What portion of your portfolio is comprised of Ethereum?
- The main surprise upon entering the crypto.
Most crypto applications are highly centralized because freezing funds often requires the signatures of just 5 wallets belonging to the project founders.
Although it was different initially,
Uniswap exchange cannot be stopped in this way before the arrival of version v3, so some players still use only version v2.
A similar situation recently occurred with AAVE, which temporarily suspended its application due to the risk of hacking.
This implies that the only reliable investment is Ethereum in its main ERC20 network.
However, there are promising developments toward decentralizing complex applications on Ethereum.
zkSync plans to decentralize using an internal PoS mechanism called zkPorter in about six months, and I believe this will be one of the hottest topics in 2024.
- For those who didn't sell ETH at $4k and didn't buy back at $1k in 2021-2022:
For the past 2 years, I've been testing the "Halving on Doubling" strategy, compelling me to sell half of my crypto holdings with every doubling of the price.
This allows me to lock in profits, while ensuring I never completely sell all my crypto.
The same principle applies during downtrends.
It doesn’t matter at what price we enter the market, we buy only 50% of the cash.
Subsequently, during declines, I buy with 25% of the initial capital at a price that is twice as low, then 12.5% of the capital at a price four times lower, and so on.
The main advantage of this strategy is reduced risk.
For instance, if you had followed this strategy since March 2020, compared to the maximum capital value at an Ether price of $4200, you would still have a +18% return now, even though the overall capital decreased by a maximum of 27%.
If you had entered the market at the lows in March 2020, you would have earned a 4x return over 3.5 years, which is not bad given the 27% risk.
Feel free to share your strategy for navigating the overheated crypto market in the comments.
- Why do I have staked Ether on every wallet?
Lido provides a 4.1% yield on Ether. Rocketpool - 3.9%.
Income is accrued daily and without fees, making Ether staking my favorite tool for passive income.
TOP 5 staking services: Lido 31.7%, Coinbase 13.8%, Binance 4.6%, Kraken 2.9%, Rocketpool 2.9%.
For diversification, I use not only Lido and Rocketpool but also smaller services, which is also a way to earn new airdrops from them.
What staking service do you prefer?

- A video version of my weekly crypto news has been released:
https://youtu.be/xPY5eB-VeSA
- Recently, the blockchain TON associated with Telegram, being 90% centralised, anonced a speed of 100 thousand transactions per second.
Although even the busiest Layer2 on Ethereum does not need 30 transactions per second.
Why we don't need 100,000 TPS?➡️➡️
Do we need decentralized consensus to do posts on Farcaster? Of course not.
Do we need decentralized consensus to store our followers (our social capital) on Farcaster? Of course YES.
IMAO, the only use cases for a decentralized crypto must be related to investment and capital:
1. RWA (stablecoins, stocks and real estate)
2. Decentralized investments (Bitcoin, Ethereum)
3. Decentralized social profiles (ENS, Farcaster, Lens etc.)
4. Gambling (speculation, shitcoins, etc)
Which one will you choose?
Another cases don’t need decentralized consensus like you don’t need to ask all of your validators, when you want to go to the toilet or post a meme.
- I use centralized crypto exchanges obly for transit to break connecting my wallets with those I exchange for fiat money.
Today, I'll share my thoughts in 5 points on why I prefer Huobi (HTX) for transit the most.
1/5. Tron and Huobi owner Justin Sun announced that Huobi's net profit for the second quarter of 2023 was $85 million.
I confirm HTX's profitability – for example they have the highest withdrawal fees on the ERC20 network among the top 10 exchanges, which is always good for business stability.
2/5. Huobi doesn't have exclusive high-yield staking, as seen in Binance and OKX.
For comparison, FTX had exclusive products (tokenized stocks) and the lowest fees – always a red flag in the crypto world 🚩
3/5. The exchange owner is a public figure with a profitable related business (TRC20).
4/5. You can use the exchange without KYC.
5/5. What principles do you use to choose a crypto exchange?
What factor do you consider when choosing its potential financial stability?

- Over 414 days since migrating from mining to staking on Ethereum, unlike Bitcoin, there has been deflation at a rate of 0.19% per year.
Digital gold is good, but a global digital computer made of gold is much more intriguing.
Checkmate, Bitcoiners. A golden digital computer is superior to a digital gold.
Ethereum is a decentralized equivalent of Apple Store or Google Play.
It hosts digital exchanges, banks, social networks. The coolest part is that a significant portion of the coins used to pay for space on this computer are burned, resulting in deflation.

- Only 200 days left until the Bitcoin halving, an event that often precedes new price highs 😋
By spring 2024, digital gold's inflation will decrease by half, from 1.7% to 0.85% per year.
This is particularly valuable in a time when inflation in most countries around the world has reached double digits.
I'm constantly cheering for Bitcoin compared to global currencies, which devalue your fiat savings and stablecoins every year.
How much of your assets are currently held in inflationary fiat currencies?
P.S. I keep savings for 6 months of living expenses only the rest is in Ether and real estate.

- In Ethereum, it will soon be possible to anonymize wallets without using exchanges and without breaking any rules.
Nocturne, a project that can make Ethereum accounts private, has attracted $6 million in investments from Polychain, Vitalik Buterin, Bankless, and others.
This is similar to Tornado Cash and Aztec with zero knowledge technology. The only difference is that incoming funds are checked at the start and must not be "dirty" – meaning they cannot be associated with blacklists, sanctioned addresses, stolen funds, and so on.
It sounds promising because stolen funds shouldn't be easily laundered.
As a result, in the future, we will have "compliant" mixers like Nocturne, as well as "dirty" ones like Tornado Cash.
In any case, this is a serious and forward-thinking step towards replacing the traditional banking system because cryptocurrencies lack the privacy offered by traditional banks, which is why mixers and centralized exchanges are necessary.
- The largest decentralized crypto exchange, Uniswap, made a profit of $0.5 million in a week from new fees: 0.15% from those using their website. It's great to see Uniswap finally becoming profitable, like Ethereum, Tron, and other crypto giants.
Furthermore, competition will increase as Uniswap can be used directly without their official website and without paying fees. Since it's a blockchain program, you can use it by sending data directly to any Ethereum node or use intermediary sites like 1inch or Zapper.
You can also use forks, independent copies of Uniswap, such as Cowswap or Pancakeswap.
It's fantastic that in the crypto world, you have a wide range of choices, and you don't owe anything to anyone because you hold the keys in your safe, rather than trusting banks, exchanges, or governments, as in traditional finance.

- NFT Rainbow Zorb is owned by 2,800 Farcaster users in addition to myself.
I've discovered that within Farcaster, each user's profile contains a section dedicated to their NFTs, showcasing all their on-chain tokens and collectibles on the Ethereum network.
For instance, NFT Rainbow Zorb is held by 2,800 Farcaster users besides me, all of whom you can conveniently follow. Considering that I can follow up to 10,000 people, this offers the opportunity to expand your Farcaster network and connect with like-minded individuals who share similar interests and achievements, further emphasizing your status within the Ethereum community.
What about you? What kinds of hobbies and interests would you like to have in your friends?
Thanks to Farcaster and NFTs, it will soon be easy to discover people who share your values and interests.
For instance, I'd be happy to engage in conversations with those who avoid dairy, sugar, and gluten in their diet, are into fitness and the gym, and those who love UK garage & drum and bass music.
- 8. The Zapper wallet explorer has introduced a new section called "Chat" on their website. It allows users to create themed channels with a paid entrance fee, processed through the second layer of Ethereum - Base. I appreciate that the crypto space is increasingly offering tools to create mini-communities, where one's status can be determined by their balance, badges, and on-chain achievements. Join my Zapper chat and create your own: https://zapper.xyz/chat?channelId=Q2hhdENoYW5uZWwtYmFzZToyMzM0&referrerAddress=0x4fba94363621a3b86417d6d0b2819583263a9bc0
- mIRC on Lens would be cool. All rooms token gated + commands like /kick @user /join #Ethereum /mute and so on. All communities can set their own rules
- Ethereum News for Week 41 of 2023:
1) Top earners in crypto from transaction fees in millions of dollars:
91 Ethereum, 87 Tron (TRC20), Lido 47, friend.tech 28, Bitcoin 26, Uniswap 24, MakerDAO 12, Aave 8, BNB (BEP20) 8, Convex 6.
2) The most popular crypto social network where Vitalik Buterin and his friends hang out, Farcaster, is now open to everyone. They will combat spam through a yearly subscription of $10. I'm also active on Farcaster, getting to know Devconnect participants in Istanbul in November.
3) Key Ethereum community members suggest stopping staking ETH in Lido and switching to other services like Diva, Swell to earn airdropped tokens. Concerns about centralization are valid, as 32% of staked ETH is locked in one protocol.
4) Uniswap has finally launched on zkSync. Is Syncswap on the way out?
5) Sergey Nazarov, the head of the leading crypto oracle Chainlink, introduced "SWIFT" for non-compatible blockchains called CCIP. It looks like a highly ambitious and exciting technology.
6) The testnet for Ethereum's upcoming update, Dencun, which significantly reduces network fees, will launch in November 2023, with the mainnet expected in the first quarter of 2024. Ethereum is evolving, which is always a positive sign.
7) Ethereum Layer 2 solution Scroll has gone live on the mainnet, with Taiko next in line. Although Taiko is described as a "sequence-based" solution that can operate without tokens, we all know that tokens are crucial to most crypto projects.
8) The first-of-its-kind ETF on Ethereum futures, The VanEck Ethereum Strategy ETF (EFUT), started trading at the beginning of October. The volumes are small, but the fact that you can buy Ethereum futures through a broker is promising.
9) The potential replacement for Matic, POL, has appeared on the Ethereum Goerli testnet. Hints of Polygon 2.0 suggest a possible airdrop. Get ready to lighten your bags in a bullish market 🤓.
10) Following the four-year crypto market cycle model, a bull market is expected within the next six months. Hopefully, we won't have to wait as long as we did for Ethereum's transition from mining to Proof of Stake 😅.

- Why scripts for private keys are so dangerous
I know people who have earned > mln$ using automatic scripts on hundreds of wallets on the Arbitrum airdrop.
Seeing such results, there is FOMO and a desire to feverishly study Python and Zennoposter.
However, this method is in conflict with the first principles of the security of private keys in a crypto - to store private keys on a device without the Internet. But no automation will push physical buttons on a cold wallet.
In the short term, script users will become multimillionaires, but this method carries many attack vectors for the private key, as well as suspicions from projects distributing retrodrops.
Therefore, I propose to think about proactive measures and be one step ahead of scripted multiacckers.
The value of an old account with a reputation will be high, and hot wallets of 12 words and with private keys shared in all holes will be compromised either by a quantum computer or by viruses and backdoors in software.
Farms of such wallets ultimately lead to centralization, which also contradicts the first principles of crypto. This will be fixed.
Most make mistakes, don't be with them, follow first principles!
- In ETH we believe
- **Why you should not buy a crypto wallet in one copy**
I use various cold wallets every day and I know how unstable or defective hardware can be.
Trezor does not work with proxies, Ledger has a lot of marriage, and Keystone eats battery like a crazy.
Let's imagine that an emergency has happened, you need to urgently withdraw the crypt and the wallet has suddenly filled up.
And at this moment, the store where they took it is not working, under sanctions, or has sold all the leftovers ...
Any cold wallet should be paired with the same one, it's like a spare pair of shoes at home in case the main one gets wet.
***Therefore, never buy one wallet, only in pairs💰💰***

- The three most fundamental coins in crypto
If you are a long-term investor and want to invest for 10 years, this video is for you.
The first project to which I would allocate 70% of my portfolio is Ethereum, which has long become number one in the decentralized economy.
The second project is Bitcoin.
The use of bitcoin to store NFTs has given digital gold a second wind this year.
And the third project, to which I would invest no more than 5%, is Cosmos. Sometimes an application becomes too big for Ethereum, as happened with the dYdX exchange.
On Cosmos, it is possible to deploy interoperable layer1 blockchains at no great cost, which is not yet possible on Ethereum.
Keep in mind that both Cosmos and Ethereum are better for long-term staking with a cold wallet, and follow the rules from my lessons.
Save this video and share it with your friends who are interested in crypto.
- How you can get coins in airdrops for free
Most of those who buy a "promising" crypto on the stock exchange do not even realize that we have already made tens of X's on it.
Because we stood at the origins of this project, used its test network, set up a node or helped with providing liquidity.
In general, we were the real bulders, not hamsters who keep their assets on the crypto exchange.
Large projects have generously give us coins, such as Aptos and Optimism, from $ 1000 and more for each wallet.
You can make hundreds of such wallets. Your income here depends only on how much free time you have.

- Why tomorrow is too late
Last year mining on GPU was still relevant.
And this year their cost has reduced several times and no one needs them any more.
Because Ethereum has switched from mining to staking.
Every year Ethereum miners used to earn several billion dollars on fees since Ethereum, unlike Bitcoin, is a profitable blockchain with high fees.
Today there are no miners and no one is going to sell all these several billion dollars.
Moreover, they are burning while ensuring the future growth and development of Ethereum.
But Ethereum and applications based on it will not stand still forever. Optimism, whose drop we received last spring, has already grown 3 times in just 1 month.
To figure out what you need to do now in crypto, download the guide “how to make a million dollars in crypto from the scratch”.
