I had the pleasure of sitting down for an intimate conversation with Shane Mac recently, the Co-Founder and CEO of XMTP.
For the next 40 minutes enjoy learning about:

What struck me the most was hearing about the history of Internet messaging and why web3 is the perfect solution for building your final "contact" list.
The reason I was keen to have this discussion with Shane was to better understand web3 growth networks and the future of Internet marketing.
It became clear: at the foundation of it all is communication. It’s what keeps projects moving, growing, and connecting.
And on the topic of connections, XMTP's recent partnership with Coinbase Wallet has been creating quite the buzz, especially at @bellosights.lens. 🍄
We've integrated XMTP, which means we’ve opened up a new way for our users to engage. Imagine being able to send mass messages to your NFT collectors, let alone *any* group of wallets.
It's a game-changer.
I genuinely believe XMTP is taking steps that will bring us closer to widespread web3 adoption.

Mars' Many Dune Fields.
HiRISE observations can be used to aid in the classification and volume estimates of dunes for the USGS global dune database--another way how the HiRISE camera helps other science agencies.
Sand dunes are among the most widespread aeolian features present on Mars. Their spatial distribution and morphology, sensitive to subtle shifts in wind circulation patterns and wind strengths, can relate to patterns of erosion and deposition, and give clues to the sedimentary history of the surrounding terrain.
Dunes are particularly suited to comprehensive planetary studies because they are abundant over a wide range of elevations and terrain types. Thus a global scale study of Martian dunes serves a dual purpose in furthering understanding of both climatic and sedimentary processes, two fundamental topics currently driving Martian science.

- I’ve been playing with my collected art all morning. It’s been -the- missing experience here on Lens, and within the span of a few days we’ve been given not one but two fantastic gallery options:
@collectz.lens and Gallery.so
Music has done well over the past few months specifically because there are apps to use that music. You can play with your collection, brag about it, share it, etc. Meanwhile, our visual art collections have largely disappeared from memory once they leave the feed. Out of sight, out of mind— dormant data.
This is yet another example of what I mean by “Collects as App Data.” Data is only valuable if it’s used. Collectz and Gallery are apps which let me use my Collects. 🙏
So what’s next? How can we let Galleries use and create more data? Well here’s one possibility:
Attached are two images of a Gallery I just made with my H=N/Tezos collection (be very jealous if you missed out on hic et nunc, it was a special place and time).

In the second screenshot, see that gap? Imagine I could signal I need help filling that in. Imagine you could recommend the perfect piece to complete my collection. You could send/sell/suggest a piece and get credit (maybe even a reward like a Finder’s Fee).
Now imagine AI reads the visual input of all of this, and reads the blockchain to understand the art, artist, and social data surrounding this art and is able to connect me with the perfect piece. Or it lets me generate a new piece based on the surrounding pieces, and gives proper accreditation and payment.
That would be an app which uses my Collects to help me find or create new Collects. That would be an app running on a Social Operating System.

Do you remember, my dear reader, the strategy with the tiny and the half originals? https://lenster.xyz/posts/0xd3a4-0x0576 , https://lenster.xyz/posts/0xd3a4-0x057b . Well, this weekend they gave me such a pump up that I can confirm that it's a success.
In fact, between yesterday and today I sold five different versions of "Tuned in Berlin", and two of them when the watercolour was still fresh! I'm very glad with the results and I think that I'd like to prepare some big versions of them, so to see how people react.
All in all, I'm very relieved with the markets of this weekend, as they were really good comparing the last three (or maybe four) weekends. On top of the growing selling, today I also celebrated something very important: I've got a permanent contract at the Mauerpark.
I had verbal confirmation to sign the contract a couple of weeks ago, but the process took time and everything was confirmed just last Friday. Just to let you know, there are people who needed years to get a permanent spot, and I did it with just five months, I'm so glad!
