At the recent **MeitY- NASSCOM Centre of Excellence | NASSCOM | Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) | Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology**, I had a chance to present the web3 version of publishing of books as NFTs and how **Raindrops Books Private Limited** is changing the way traditional publishing has been for centuries, and how **raindropsDAO** is building the #CreatorsEconomy Books can be represented as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) by creating digital versions and then minting them on a blockchain. This allows for the unique identification and ownership verification of the digital book, as well as the potential for buying, selling, and trading the NFT. Yes, books can be digitized and then minted as NFTs, which can provide a number of benefits. By creating a unique, digital version of a book and storing it on the blockchain, it can be verified as an original and authentic work, and the ownership of the NFT can be easily tracked and transferred. This can help to combat piracy, as it becomes more difficult to duplicate or distribute unauthorized copies of the book. Additionally, owning an NFT of a book can provide various utilities to the buyer or holder, such as the ability to resell or trade the NFT, access to exclusive content or features, or even the ability to interact with the book's author.
