- Dreams Never Die - Building a Modern Music Company
Welcome back to another season of the One Big Idea podcast. Each week I sit down with artists, founders, collectors, and thought leaders shaping the space today. This season we are focused on the central question - what will catalyze Web3 music adoption?
Chad Hilliard and Cole Ryan are the Co-Founders of Dreams Never Die, a new-age artist company and music community. As the team behind the music blog Hillydilly, they’ve spent over 15 years discovering, sharing, and working alongside brand-new artists.
Their recently launched Founder’s Pass grants access to their community of creatives, industry personnel, and music fans. They discover, document, and develop brand-new artists, host events, share music, experiment with new tech, chat regularly, collaborate with other communities, and look to the next decade.

Welcome back to another season of the One Big Idea podcast. Each week I sit down with artists, founders, collectors, and thought leaders shaping the space today. This season we are focused on the central question - what will be the catalyst for Web3 music adoption?

Sound Artists can publish songs, sell NFTs, use splits, and participate in governance within a tightly integrated suite of tools.
Our conversation covers a wide range of topics including:
The historical relationship between labels and artists.
Streaming’s impact on an artist’s career.
How Web3 creates new pathways for artists and collectors.
The genesis of Sound.xyz and working with some of the biggest artists in the world.
The obstacles facing broader Web3 music adoption.
