- GM. I don’t normally start the day with an espresso (I say start but my first has to be an immersion while I get the kids ready for school) but today I wanted to try a new high extraction basket I got with this geisha.
20g in / 40g out
4 seconds pre-infusion
10 seconds shot time
Very pleasing espresso and a good reminder that good beans are the base of all good coffee drinks.
And yes, my Lenny has seen better days.
- Lowered the price on this guy today if anyone is in the mood to be a collectooor 🫶

- no one has guessed it right so far, but I'm giving away 500 $bonsai to whoever guesses it correctly.
- V60 is not my normal go to but this is a very small batch that I only have five vials left in the freezer so trying something different. Very fine (for pour over) grind size and a fast AF paper to match.
Draw down was close to 7 minutes though…
- GM. I normally make a cup of coffee for the school run, depending on timing. I also don’t believe in using anything except ceramic.
The Monster is for special occasions.
- Weekend allows me to indulge in cloth filters because I have more time to clean and prepare them. Love is a cloth filter and light roasted geisha.
- Coffee is beautiful.
- Now Lens has up to date data dashboard, kudos to @lens/sealaunch for all the work
- The guard at the gates
- Don’t go towards the lighthouse
- Managed to get down to Qima this morning to welcome anew member of the team and to try some of the best coffee in London.
- GM. Can confirm that live is 65% improved with good coffee. Last couple days in Spain and then back home.
- First cup of the holiday. Feel like I can finally relax.
GM Fam.
- Claimed my 'thank you' gift from @lens/bonsai to celebrate the fundraise! 🎉
- Mission successful.
- Two days without self made coffee but I’m in Barcelona now and the hunt is on.
- Landed in Spain yesterday so switching to tea this morning till find some decent beans. Anyone got some recommendations where I could find some in Cambrils?
- I'm releasing a 1000 piece generative art collection soon called **A Nice Drive™** and in honor of the $BONSAI launch I've decided to add a very rare background to the collection entitled "Road to $BONSAI" 🏔
As a thank you for the inspo, here's a **Special Edition** release using the new background for the @lens/lens & @lens/bonsai family ✨️
(Note: A Nice Drive™ is a randomly generated 1000 piece collection of 1-of-1s; this special edition release will not be included in the final release)
- Trying a new V60 method today. The Clever Dripper is my go to daily driver but saw this video by Lance Hedricks yesterday about longer blooms and no agitation and decided to give it a try. Went with a 1min bloom (50g water) with 15g coffee and 250 water in a single pour (the remaining 200g).
Far less body than my usual CleverDripper but a nice change in sweetness. I’m going to focus on the V60 for a couple more days.

- Along with my collage work, I also have a more expressive abstract style that doesn't get shared as often. However, there are a couple of drawings that I think deserve more attention.
This drawing was made 8+ years ago, a time before I knew anything about therapy and regulating my emotions.
I always wanted a way to feel my emotions and was working towards it, but it felt very foreign to me.
Fast forward to today and I am meditating regularly while allowing myself to feel all of my emotions as they come to me for the first time in my entire life. Meditation completely changed the trajectory of my life.

- #GM Artists 👩🎨 Today I just wanted to share a very special illustration that I made, with my puppy "Chicho", my little sausage dog 🐶 🐾 And I can only express how grateful I am for technology because it allows us to express our best moments through art 🎨
Support if you loved it as much as I did! 💕

- This is pulled from my freezer store and is a truly special bean. The lychee aroma is so strong that I can’t grind or brew it inside the house or the whole place ends up smelling like a sweet shop. I only have three though…
- GM. Shout out to my fellows using Fellow.
- Upgrades to my does tubes from the cheap vinyl wrap to anodised aluminium.
- @lens/jacqs your talk of geisha inspired me to pull from the freezer library and give this a try again. Ignore the roast date: these were decantered and frozen ages ago.
- Proof that if you listen to @lens/jacqs you get results!
- On the bar this week:
On the left, medium roast pea body Rwandan Gito for milk drinks.
On the right, light roasted Salvador Natural Anaerobic for filter.
- Filter mornings. In London today so this will be the best cup of coffee that I have for the day. And wait for the new office where we will have some of the best coffee in London.
- Okay so when you say the initial pour do you mean when I build volume without the adding ‘art’?

- I feel that any driver who dominates in F1 ends up being hated, but that does not seem to be the case with Max V. Maybe it’s just me because… thoughts?
- It my first coffee for the day but first milk based coffee. Had all the right ingredients but shoddy excecution.
Good catching up with friends at EthGlobal Pragma today!

- I've recently been trying to get back into research after nearly two years of prioritizing operations and family commitments. This was always manageable during my academic years when I had the time to publish papers and deeply explore topics. However, that's no longer my reality, and I need to be more strategic with how I allocate my time.
So far, I've experimented with attending conferences/think tanks and appearing on a couple of podcasts, but I've found these experiences to be underwhelming. As a result, I'm now dedicating specific days for research, during which I block out six hours to focus on a single topic and see where it leads.
Has anyone else found effective ways to stay intellectually engaged while juggling a tight schedule
- 93 left . Don’t forget to mirror 🥺make that $BONSAI
- Dragon sketch!
- GM. Morning brew with my favourite method: the Clever Dripper with an ano-light roast from Euthopia.
- Fear of running out of coffee materialised.
- Lens is now permissionless.
