‘…creators deserve control over how their creations are used…’ Well, in some ways perhaps. But satire is usually created without the creators consent, and by law (I think in the US freedom of expression) artists are allowed to ‘critique’ other artists by creating a satirical work. Imagine what the work of comedians would look like if they couldn’t create satire on the work of others. This subject, like nearly everything, is grey, not black and white.
