Everyone is using Orb bc its the best mobile experience. My question is that should Orb focus on original vision of building on-chain professional network

At some point i had to ask myself if Orb was a Web3 app for Professionals to getting hired or if it's a general purpose Lens app. Deep down me, i really want Lens to be a touch of both combined. And base on traffics, General Purpose Lens will work best for ORB for now with a blend of Web3 space for Professionals to be hired for a job/task. P. S: Just my view.
Orb should pivot to general Lens app !
I think they should stay on track of targeting the niche of professional network. Right now it might be tempting to pivot because orb has just shipped more quickly but this will destroy any moat they might have as other teams start to ship mobile apps and make it pretty much indistinguishable from other lens mobile apps.
I don't think that the lens community is already big enough for the niche @orbapp.lens is targeting. -> ideally we will see a - hopefully as good as orb - general purpose app appearing until the professional network niche is big enough for Orb to move on.
Orb-lenster mobile remix
Lens community may not be already huge but for a niche product in a niche market, it could make sense to push it. As this could be easily THE place to do web3 networking.
Pivot to Lens app
Both are very valuable ideas. I would go around it based on the actual use of the app. It seems like the need for more professional networking based app will come in time 🌿

This is really great question, I’m also really interested in this. As most of the traffic rn is from authentic Lens users! I’m interested in building the best social user experience and I also believe that going forward professional+social gonna blend as web3 is all about communities. However, building that niece can take some time. Interested in knowing what existing users think about it and prioritize according to that! 🤔
But what do I know, I still have 12k people on front of me in the orb waiting list 😂
literally just joined, I see a lot of options on my profile to add professional details, skills etc; currently not something I’m looking for; guessing most people are just looking for alternatives to the usual social media apps.
